I am fed up with skyrim bugs

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:01 pm

1 I am sorry but my English is weak. My first problem is concerning the quest of the batte for Solitude.

I can't kill Legate Rikke she is always reborn in the Castle after conversations with Ulfric. Tullius kneels he is wounded and doesn't speak. Ulfric stands in an other corners in the room and do nothing. I kill Rikke but she rises from the floor and fights to me again and again. Meanwhile the quest of liberation of Haafinger is active, because Galmar doesn't respond when I talk to him. The quest arrow is on Galmar and the mission completed. In Fact, Galmar is located two places in same time: In the Stormcloak Camp and in the Castle Dour. And does or speaks nothing in both place.

2 Main quest: Fallen Odahviing

We are on the balcony of Dragonsreach with the Jarl and his warriors. I choose "Call Dragon" shout and use it. I am shouting all of day than an insane man. But th dragon doesn't arrive. Nothing happens, only the Jarl talks "we are ready, we are ready, we are ready".

I am very sad I can't finished the most important quests due to annoying faults of the game. Version is 1.5.26.0.5, this number is seen when I press ESC.

LOL you might as well uninstall skyrim all together if you think that Bethesda will fix these bugs. They haven't yet fix the markarth guards glitch, and it's been going on for the longest time now. Lets not to mention that even with the up to date patch that you still can't get dragon souls after defeating it. truly amazing. Skyrim was release way too soon, with little to no glitch/bug testing to provide the best quality in the game. They're more worried about making Giants obese, according to their jams video, then to fix the problems that exist in the game.

Sorry to hear that you're unable to play the rest of the game. I feel your pain as I had to retire a character because the glitch became so unbearable that it was unplayable. This character that I was playing with was level 44.

I can't help but to see that Bethesda ripped their costumers off by selling them an expensive software that they knew was broken.

I know its not a popular awnswer, but I really believe that completly deleting skyrim from your console is a quick fix. I recently had to send my playstation off to be fixed for a few weeks. By the time it got back i decided to start over anyway. After completly uninstalling the game and redoing the updates on reinstall, everything seems to be working fine for me. It hasnt evem frozen once yet, which is a huge improvement over the last time i played.

There's a work-around to the Markarth guard glitch that works perfectly well and it's been established that dragons that respawn at Dragon Lairs don't always provide new souls.

Yeah, you try fixing every bug before release, it is not like they have an auto fix device that fixed all bugs and makes the game immune to bugging, would you really want them to wait one hundred more years to release this game?

Really... when your two main questlines can glitch so easily and all the main faction quests too, you think they should have released in this state? I can understand your thinking for random side quests and graphics problems, maybe, but the meat of this game is rancid with bugs and glitches. In eight tries I have not yet been able to finish the the MQ or the Civil War quests. It's stupid that the main stories are so badly coded and tested. They should not have been released in this condition. This is the part of the game most people will play and too many can't because of game stopping glitches.

The only way that I could "temporary" fix the markarth glitch was to use the console code Paycrimegold (or paygoldcrime) otherwise it would look something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BmI9VbKbf4 an addition to that I couldn't go back to the temple of Talos without the guards replaying the act as if I was still doing the forsworn conspiracy quest. I also notice that when I was near the understone keepI would occasionally see guards running out and heading for the Temple of Talos. I tried Googling it up to potentially to fix this and came back with nothing.

I truly feel sorry for the players who plays skyrim for console as theirs no way for them to use the ~ codes to fix things. It's a game breaker to figure out how to fix glitches that Bethesda failed to capture before releasing the game to the public.

I expect Skyrim to be fully functional for the price tag that Bethesda printed out. To answer to your question yes I am more than willing to wait for an additional year or two (or maybe more) for bethesda to test and perform a quality test on their games. It's not my job to fix every bug. I'm not the developers, I'm the consumer; theirs a big difference. If they create a script then I'm pretty certain they know how to fix the bugs and glitches.

I've waited for so long for the release of Guild Wars 2 and I give credit to the company for not rushing the release. Currently the game is in beta testing; to find glitches and bugs. I can't wait for the release of the game. I strongly believe that once this game gets release that it will drive me away from Skyrim... if it works out well, of course.

The way I was able to fix it was to enter Markarth via the front gate, hit B (aka ignore/not choosing any dialogue options) when a guard ran up to me, then ran into the Temple of Talos. Once you're in there, you kill all the guards that come in because, unlike in the open city, they eventually despawn. Once that's done, I'm pretty sure what I did was go outside and either pay off my bounty or the guards just stopped accosting me on the whole. That was on my 360 though, I'm unsure it works on PC or PS3.

And yeah, it's kind of awful that they decided to just keep the 11/11/11 date rather than push it back and release a more complete version. Their actually patching it is something, I suppose, but I'm not so sure I'd be singing the same tune if I was still unable to use the console to fix issues on my 360 saves. That's maybe not ruined other games (LOOKING AT YOU, DRAGON AGE 2) but it's made parts of it either impossible to complete or very difficult to.

I have to agree with all points, this game was definitely released too early. Blizzard takes years on their games and when they are released you can be pretty confident that you won't find many, if any bugs. Diablo 3 is finally getting released after what, 12 years from Diablo 2?

I'm more than willing to wait for a game as they playtest it and find/fix bugs. Having these kind of issues in the main portions of the game (MQ and Civil War) is simply inexcusable.

I had trouble calling that dragon too, BUT I found out you have to hold the shout button long enough to do the FULL SHOUT. I was releasing it too quicky. You need to use all the words, so try holding it down longer. That worked for me.

Thank you very much for the hints and the solidarity. My character is a honest marksman but I am boring it (level 35) and I would like to finish the civil war and main quests before I start a new carrier. Maybe reinstall would help but these weren't the first bugs in my game, I met other glitches mainly during civil war. For example there was not indicator to the aim person. I had to look for the courier and legate in Morthal without "helparrow" in quests of liberation Hjaalmarch. It was very time-consumig to complete.
I agree with Raizen Sama, I'm not the developers, I'm the consumer. I am very curious what is the end of story and what are Ulfric's aims, but I think I won't know these.

The Skyrim is uninstalled and reinstalled. After this set up I restarted the quest of Haafingar liberation. I completed this, after that I got the quest: battle for Solitude. It was funny, Ulfric disappeared but I a firendly imperial soldier stood at the gate of the city. I entered the city: the fight were weltering inside. I saw Ulfric and Galmar. What was the imperial's job outside ?
Well we killed the soldiers and enter the Castle. The result is same. Rikke attacked only me, or did nothing. Galmar and Ulfric saw the empty corner, the imperial general were slipping on his knees. And RIkke is immortal.

I can't see the one you posted. :(

Edit: Nevermind "lassú let?ltés" did it for me.

Question, did you uninstall, reinstall and continue with the same savegame, or start the game anew?

Klesh: I changed the linkto the picture.

I reload same carrier but the standings was earlier than start of battle of solitude. I played this quest from the beginning.
I am at level 35, it took 100 hours play with the game, I wouldn't like to restart the whole carrier.
