Sheogorath Homage in Your Highness? : V

Maybe this belongs in General, but since people are so sensitive there about spoilers I put it here. If so, I'm sure someone will report it and get it moved. In my defense it's a spoiler for http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1240982/ for sure. :lol:

The question is basically aimed at people who have seen the movie, but I'll give enough background info so most people can probably weigh in.

Spoiler about the movie (info - I'll be as vague as possible):

The plot for Your Highness is that an evil wizard named Leezar (not completely crazy, but a little weird at least) is fulfilling a prophecy wherein when the two moons align (every 100 years) the "chosen one" will have six with a virgin in a ceremonial fashion and she'll give birth to a dragon. With the dragon the "chosen one" can take over and rule the world.

When Leezar is having the celebretory feast the night before the ceremony he serves fish sticks ("fish fingers"). Now I can't help but feel like this is an homage to Sheogorath.

So is it or was it just a huge coincidence? :confused:

IMDB says this:
"The premise for the movie evolved from a frivolous game friends David Gordon Green and Danny McBride used to play to while away on film sets. Each would take turns in suggesting a title for a film and the other would try to concoct a viable storyline. When the title 'Your Highness' was put forward, the premise was, '...it's about a prince who gets stoned and fights dragons...'."

We just need to figure out what that "frivolous game" is.

I think the frivolous game would be the taking turns to make up plots to go with titles.

Closest I got was that Ben Best went to college in North Carolina... which I guess is I got nowhere.

The Fish Sticks reference is even older than Sheogorath's mentioning it as well. You know it comes from an old forum member?

Aye, if you are right, it would be a 'reverse easter egg' (???) A case of instead of the game including a reference to something in RL, RL referencing TES as an easter egg for those who would know.

If it's a reverse Easter Egg wouldn't that be like...ummm...a Passover Matzah. Since Passover would be like the opposite of Easter?
