Lost Horses

I'm sorry about your horses, we need a stay command for sure.
There was a horse I got while Imperials were clearing out a fort (Amol?), mostly black but white socks, that was a pretty faithful, sturdy horse; it *kind of* stayed or started wandering much more slowly than others after dismount; definitely more slowly than Frost! Trying for Shadowmere now.

I've had Meeko and Barbas, but there was one much quieter dog that appeared out of nowhere while I was wandering.... I want to say the Reach?..... It let me use the follow command, helped me fight a dragon and lived (it kited really well), but just after that we moved on to a path between rocky hills and it advance-warned me about necros and eventually got zapped to death. That was upsetting because I liked the companionship, like you say, so I've avoided dogs since then. Don't know where that faithful pooch came from tho.

I think there's a random encounter 'stray dog' and that was probably it. I haven't come across one yet, but I'll avoid it because I would feel badly if it died and would have to reload a previous save. If the dogs here were like the dogs in Fable I'd definitely keep one. :P

The horses have really been annoying me lately, ever since my first one was killed by wolves it's been nothing but annoyance.

I bought a new one from Solitude and now every time I dismount it it runs off back to the Solitude stable, why does it keep running away, I own it and it was the last horse I rode! O.o

Damn horses... grgr.

I have Shadowmere now, YAY.
OP, if you want a companion with fight and staying power, go for Shadowmere.

Just be careful of f-t together to the College of Winterhold, it lands you on the skinny walkway, and the first nudge turns you sideways and over the edge....oops.

Skyrim didn't give you feelings. Being a decent human being gave you those. Skryim just tries to drive them out of you...you know: kinda' like Emperor Palpatine. :P

Oh, I know. I've almost fallen off of there so many times. I asked for a railing, but they said they're afraid we'd be leaning all day.
