At first i thought it was because i had completed the game, but i loaded the game to the point where i had the quest Elder Knowledge and it says "Go to the College Of Winerhold to see if they know more about the Scroll" or whatever, but there is no option "Elder Scrolls" option like their used to be to prove i am Dragonborn? Glitch?

I think this is quite a big problem.. it will have a huge impact on the main quest..

I don't know what might cause that bug. You will still be able to access the College though - Faralda will sell you a spell (I think all the possible spells are fairly basic) and you just have to cast it in front of her to gain access.

Maybe not as satisfying RP wise as shouting to prove your abilities, but there's no reason you can't continue the MQ.

Are you sure your talking to the right people at the college?

Yup, to Farelda, i only get the:

"Wish to gain the powers of fire and ice"
"Wish to bend people to my will"
"Wish to unravel the mysteries of Aetherius"
and "I just wanted to see what it looks like inside"

All of these lead to the magic test, she doesnt ask to see us shout, the Dragonborn option is totally gone? :/ i have loaded multiple saves and all the same problem..

From what I remember, she never asks for a Shout, only Spells. Note, I did this part of the MQ last November, so that was a few Egg Nogs and Hot Toddies ago......


Not sure if you can use a Scroll or not for this..........

EDIT More fuzzy memory here, I don't think you can even know a Shout at this point in the MQ, or have the Greybeards already taught you? Anyway, the College of Winterhold does not concern itself with Dragon Lore, unless it directly impacts their studies on the Eye of Magnus

You can definitely get in with a shout. That's how I did it. You tell her you're the Dragonborn, and she asks you to demonstrate a shout to satisfy her curiosity, after which you're permitted entry to the College.

The bit where you can select dragonborn is before this in the dialogue iirc. This is the part of the conversation where you choose the kind of spell you want to cast.

My first play thru, I used a dragon shout and got immediate access to the college. I chose the 'I just want to see what's inside' line.
