The fastest you've ever OP'd a character

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 12:43 am

Right now I've got a Breton at level 26 with 100 in Conjuration and the Twin Souls perk. I'm thinking about retiring her and starting over because she rolls through everything like a freight train through a pile of horse manure. I haven't done the quests to get to Skuldafin yet but it'd only be a formality. I can't imagine a situation this character will have any trouble with.

Usually around level 40+ is when characters can begin to hold their own in most situations but 26? That's too early. I'm not complaining, it's my own fault. I guess I'm wondering if anyone can give me any reasons to keep this one going.

I suggest you try something like this..
  • Pickpocketing
  • Alchemy for Poisons you put on people you want to murder with the help of Pickpocketing.
  • Only use Conjuration Bow, no summonings to aid you.
  • Sneak (for Stealth)
  • Archery for max use of Conjuration Bow.
  • Put all your points on Stamina for best use of the Slow Motion.

Or you can
  • Illusion to avoid combat by fearing, charming your enemies.
  • Pickpocketing to earn a living and assassinate your targets with strong poisons.
  • Alchemy to make the poisons.
  • Sneak to move undetected.
  • Never use any other weapons then bow with poisons.

Or you can do the same as above, just use only use 1 dagger! And sneak.

I made a sword and shield toon who was good with enchantment and smithing. I used my powers to make OP gear and then I started one-shotting everything. I turn it up to master difficulty and things are still too easy. So I deleted him.

My Illusion/Sneak/1H character was pretty OP as soon as I got the 15x backstab perk. and that's 100 HP/unarmored/Master. Dragons are pretty much unkillable though, lol.

edit: I think I was around level 12 at this point. XD

On my first character, I power leveled smithing to 100 before leaving Riverwood or the immediate area. EVERYTHING kicked my battered carcass across the forest floor for a bit after leaving, but once I was able to steal enough to buy more materials, I was pretty much God on wheels against every creature and person I ran into.

I have to disagree. I've taken the Twin Souls perk before but not until I actually "earned" my way to 100 Conjuration (for the most part). It's a game dominator (in my experience anyway).

I did this [character] like this because I didn't want to have to go nuts with the armor and smithing and I think I've pretty much exhausted every other build. The only one I haven't done is an armored tank with no magic use because it seems pretty boring. Run in, smash. Repeat.

I've done Illusion to death; it's been the most fun. The coolest spell in the game is Mayhem. But that's a game ender too. I remember casting it several times upon arriving at Skuldafin and then throughout the temple as well. By the time I got outside to where the two Draugr Deathlords were, everything that was supposed to be up there was dead except one lone Draugr Wight with about 10% of his health. One swipe with a dagger later and he was dead. The Dragonpriest got hit with an ebony dagger for the 15X bonus while wearing Nightengale gloves.

Buh-bye.

I think I may have run out of ways to keep the game interesting. But it's been great.

You can create a text file with all the leveling commands written inside, fire up skyrim, pull down the console and execute that text file.

I didn't pay attention to how long it took, but I can breath pretty easy around 50 (Adept). I'm probably what most would consider OPed by then, but that's only because of armor and weapons - if I put on normal clothes and fight with my fists I'm not OPed anymore. :P

Same with me. I'm level 49 on Expert, but I'm pretty comfortable now. So I try to discipline myself; I use an unenchanted orcish bow with Ancient Nord arrows (the arrows mostly depend on the enemy 'though. I tend to use dwarven for falmer, elven for thalmor, ancient nord for draugr and dragons, and so on. It's purely a RP perspective), I wear scaled armor with a standard restoration enchantment, only the boots are smithed to be stronger (because my feet have to bear a lot due to me traveling around all the time :P), and I'm planning on giving back Dragonbane when I'm "officially" at odds with the Blades. I love Dawnbreaker too much 'though, it just suits my character to a T.

I so wish I could improve Scaled Horn Armor. :o

I won't lie: I improve my leather-based armors past the armor cap on my chick and I enchant armor, but not weapons. I have all the Smithing perks and can make +120% Fortify Smithing potions so, yeah, I'm kinda' OPed. :P

50 levels. With spells that do 337 damage that also cause the targets to explode upon death with the blast radius dealing up to 200pts of damage to anyone near it..yeah I'm pretty overpowered.

..still gotta do something about mages spamming ward spells..
