I noticed you can enchant the gloves with backstab on the worn armor, well enchant all the armor pieces but not improve it with smithing. I think it's perfect for a nightblade, anyone else doing this? My plan is to enchant with bow and one handed, then destruction and illusion, and finally a few weight improvements for carry weight.

I never tried enchanting it because I couldn't improve it. No I was talking about stacking the enchantment over the prior enchanments. The gloves can then take 2 more over the backstab making them some of the best gloves in the game.

According to UESP the backstab enchantment on the Worn Shrouded Gloves is a bug and that they don't actually give you that effect:

"Although the Worn Shrouded Gloves display an enchantment in game, no such enchantment is applied. If the player wishes, a custom enchantment can applied to the gloves at an arcane enchanter. Even with a custom enchantment, the description will still read "Backstab does double damage"."
