Minor questions about the lore

Just a couple of small things I've noticed recently.

1. All of the candle holders are made out of what kind of look like minotaur horns. However there are no minotaurs in skyrim let alone any creature that has horns like that. I don't think they'd be imported from other provinces, that just seems impractical when another material could be so easily used.

2. According to the Book of the Dragonborn there is always at least one dragonborn, the Emperor. This begs the question why doesn't the emperor come and help with killing dragons?

3. Why are there only dragons and word walls in Skyrim? Surely when they were prevalent four eras ago they would've been spread through out Tamriel. So there should be word walls and dragon burials that would've survived time in the other provinces.

1. Dunno
2. The current emperor is not a dragonborn, the last from that bloodline was Martin Septim
May need a serious grammar check, but
Spoiler

3. You don't hear anyone else talking about current events of the other provinces, but the nords are the only ones who would have cared enough to make those walls. The first men on Tamriel were the nords of Skyim, and the dragon war was a long time ago, so the majority of the dragon bones and word walls carved by traitors who sided with the dragons were probably left there before their descendants migrated south. The Throat of the World is where Alduin was defeated, so most likely the dragon war was at least for the most part in Skyrim. Skuldaf'n, where Alduin goes to Sovngarde, is also conveniently in Skyrim, and he's the one bringing all the dragons back. He's focusing on Skyrim because you, the dragonborn, are in Skyrim, and I think only nords go to Sovngarde, where he can feed on their souls, so it would make the most sense to kill nords.
