So, I was breaking into Amren's house in Whiterun for the Thieves guild.

I saw Amren, who is a Redguard. I saw Saffir, his wife, who is also a Redguard. Then I saw their daughter, who isn't...

It occurred to me at that point that not only had I not seen any Khajit, Argonian or Elven children in all my 300+ hours of playing, I'd not seen any Redguard children either. Is this right? And is there a reason for it? I mean, Fallout 3 had children from all the human types (for lack of a better phrase), so would it really have been too difficult to have done that in Skyrim?

It's kind of disturbing that the only children I've seen are Nordic ones (the same two, in fact, which is even weirder)...

Except that she is. The only white Redguard in Tamriel.

There are also Imperial and Breton children, but what does it matter if they all look the same? Bethesda got lazy. That's the only explanation for this.

Just because the kid isn't dark doesn't mean she isn't a Redguard. There is another Redguard daughter (silversmith apprentice) in Markarth. They look the same, but they are darker than all other kids in the game. Redguards skin tone ranges from semi-dark to very dark. The salesman of an archery shop in Solitude is blacker than any other character and I think he is a Nord for some reason. Also in Solitude there is a half-Redguard half-Nord kid.

Saffir probably had some lovely afternoon affair. Don't judge her though! Even the priest said that hard times are around the corner in Skyrim so make sweet love and breed like rabbits 'cuz every day can be your last one.

I dont usually care too much about the kids. Though it would be interesting if that kid really wasnt a Redguard when its parents are. Someone has a lot of explaining to do.

The kid is adopted obviously. Just think it that way.

Bethesda made one child race....said that'll do and copy pasted them all over Skyrim.
