If you kill Paarthunax.....

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:49 pm

I've noticed the majority of you chose not to kill Paarthunax but if you did, what are the final effects? I've heard something about better blades armor, is that true and what does it look like? What is the storyline outcome?

Nope. If you've already completed the Blades' recruitment side-quest, hunted a dragon for Esbern and gave him the dragon scale and bone to get his potion (all of which you can do before you're told to kill Paarthurnax), there's nothing extra left for them to give you. You can keep getting extra dragon slaying quests, but that's it.

Not that different. Blades will just accept you back as part of their faction and Greybeards won't. You no longer have ownership over items in High Hrothgar, but you do in Sky Haven Temple.

Only positive thing out of this is that Pathnx gives you a dragon soul to spend.

1. the greybeards will hate you

2. you get randomly generated dragon hunts with some blade recruits if you bring them in and you can sell bones/scales to esbern

3. you lose one of the best characters in the game

thats about it, just let the blades rot in their temple and chill out with you dragon brother

I've never killed him, not on a single character.

I tend to do the "evil" thing whenever I can but the Blades are just too evil.

I suspect this quest was a last minute call. It's almost like they knew there are few choices options in the game and they wanted to fix that fast.

You know what I did to Esbern and Delphine right after they ordered me to kill my dragon brother? http://youtu.be/8mlzw1EkskY

Wow. Im so impressed you can make a video of yourself acting like a dork.

Killing Partho or not is really a non issue. Either way you end up with one faction hating you, and it really doesn't help the storyline.

Seriously? I'm starting to feel deja vu. I can swear that You posted almost the same thing a while ago.

I didn't know it was possible to do those things before they ask you to kill Paarthurnaxx...and I refuse. I'm going to have to do things in a different order in my current run. Thanks. :tes:
