When to take favorite follower on console

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:59 pm

Hi all,

Anyone know if followers have a level cap? I don't want to take my favorite (Jordis) at my current level of 18, but I don't want to wait forever either. Is there a level where the followers have reached their maximum potential?

Thank you

I'm fairly certain that most of them have different caps.

Followers should level with you, I think, but they don't. I read somewhere they were originally intended to level with you but they don't because of a bug. Anyway, there is a popular workaround for making your follower level up whenever you want to.

Wabbajack

I haven't done it myself but I'm sure other people will correct me if I'm wrong. You have a follower you have been using for a while and she seems too weak now. To fix that, you save the game first. Then take everything from her. Then you dismiss her. Then you wabbajack her. Your former follower should transform into a bunny or a chicken or something. If you wait a while or punch her once, she will turn back into her former self. Then you can hire again.

I think the reason you want to save beforehand is because your follower can die in the process. I'm not sure though.

They won't level up with you due to a bug, but on ps3 your only option is to do the quest to get Wabbajack and force them to level up. See this guide for followers and their maximum levels: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers
