Do you ever listen to music while huntingplaying?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:07 pm

Sometimes i tend to just wonder off and explore and loose myself while hunting in the game and i sometimes listen to stuff like Soundgarden and Queens of the stone age i find its fitting music for the game. Does anyone do the same whilst playing, If so what? (Yes im in love with this game but i am also a complete nerd for music). I am curious to see what peoples genuine responses are. Obviously when there is anyone around i turn it off haha!! :bunny:

I cant believe that the thread about getting killed by a cabbage has this currently:

Either noone interesting is on the board currently or cabbage death is more interesting.

i would imagine it means that a large majority of people on this forum prefer the music composed within game. at least that would be my guess.

i can't speak to anyone's fascination about cabbage death. different strokes and all

I'm not sure about those choices for roaming around, but like a good dork, I sometimes will mumble/hum the "Conan the Barbarian" song as I'm charging into battle. Moreso when I played as Nord two-handed character that only wore furs.

That's funny i saw a video of a really good Conan customized character on YouTube actually.

I hate the game music, I always turn it right off. I listen to trance around the world and if someone comes into my pc room I turn it up not off.

Sometimes I listen to no music or some different music. Turns out cleaning out Blackreach takes about two 2.4 Dee D. Jackson albums.

Ever since "The Hobbit" trailer was released I have been listening to the song; "Over The Misty Mountains" as sung in the trailer. I downloaded it & put it on my Xbox. It's so fiiting! If u hav'nt heard it already just type "Over The Misty Mountains Cold Lyrics" into Youtube. I bet u will want to listen to it while exploring in Skyrim too!!! : )

Wait what? You can kill a cabbage?

I just listen to the music in the game. Generally waiting for it to turn into fighting music so I know there's something coming up behind me.

Seriously though, I like the music in game. I figured if I listened to anything else it may distract me.

EDIT: I take that back, I did listen to John Denver's Rocky Mountain High once while mountain climbing. Course it did distract me and an ice troll jumped me.

If I plan on doing a bunch of dungeon crawls, I feel it get a bit monotonous and I'll play something in the background. Dropkick Murphys seems to work well for Draugr ruins for some reason.

I like to listen to 21 guns when I start a new game because it is fitting for the execution and when I'm hunting I might listen to some generic music or the DAO tune

turned off the music rather have the sounds maybe a fix for them as they a mod fixed with Oblivion would come out to enrich them because they are quiet and did add TONS of atmosphere into the game.

I'll listen to podcasts if I'm marching from one area to another or I know there's not going to be any important dialogue for a while. I'm closing in on 300 hours of total gameplay, so I know what the music sounds like. I do like sitting in an inn and listening to the sounds and songs every now and then. Did so for a while last night, instead of constant adventuring. It's nice to sit down and smell the mead sometimes.
