Best Dual Wield Combo?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:44 am

Hey guys, I'm a lvl 32 Nord right now and I primarily go all 2H weapons, I'm using the Ebony Blade right now at full power, but I like to mix things up and dual wield stuff a lot. So I was wondering what everyones opinions were on dual weapon combos. Currently in my left hand I'll use a Daedric Sword upgraded to Legendary (44 dmg, 16 weight) with Absorb Health on it. and in my right hand I will use Mace Of Molag Bal upgraded to Flawless (41 dmg, 16 weight) and if you didn't know, that does 25 pts. of Stamina dmg, 25 pts. of Magika dmg., and if the target dies within 3 seconds it fills a soul gem.
So just let me know all your opinions and if there are any specific items you might suggest let me know, and I have 100 Blacksmithing so thats not a problem. Thanks.

On my warrior-type I dual-wield swords (Legendary Daedric). I chose swords mainly because of their speed - I melee kinda' fast and spastically. :P

On my assassin-type I dual-wield daggers (Legendary Ebony - it's a chick and the Ebony daggers look a little more lady-like than other types) for obvious reasons, but she can melee just fine with them as well as backstab.

All-in-all I would recommend the weapon based on either speed or which execution animations you like best. If you miss a lot then go with faster weapons so you can recover quicker...I miss a lot. :P

Dagger in offhand is fastest i think, if that is what you are going for.

BUT- dagger in offhand will not benefit from one hand enchant boosters, so if you use alot of those, then a blade is the probably best (2nd fastest)

That's my understanding, too.

I am using 2 unenchanted swords , Mythical elven sword and a ebony sword both epic (mythical elven is a mod for the pc users)
Aslong you keep being agressive and combined with the elemental fury shout you can maul thru some of the toughest draug mobs or worse before they can even do significant damage, , most important to dual wielding. Is to be aggresive when engaging them, meaning Following up a powerattack tillthey die before switching targets , at high lvl even deathlords fall easy and try to sneak up as close as possible before engaging them , gives them less time to fire arrows or cast spells
