Recovering Sold Items

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:31 pm

I have a terrible memory, first off. So with the hundreds of vendors out in Skyrim, I find myself in a paranoid search for the one I sold my Thief's Armor to. If I ever guessed that down the road that I would be trading in that armor set, I would have never sold it in the first place ( sort of rude that no one tells you to not sell it, leaving me no idea this was going to happen ). I've trekked to every city, visited my favorite vendors, to no avail. Is there any way to find certain vendors to who you sold items to? A mod? If not, will Beth ever consider adding that in game? I can't be the only person dreading that they sold an item they needed later in game but couldn't remember which vendor has it.

Usually the vender you sold items to will in turn, put them up for sale. If you cant find the vender, then tough [censored]...

I believe that the items you sell to vendors disapeer after a certain amount of in-game time. Several days. There is also currently a bug on the XBox and PC versions were attacking a vendor will reset their inventory.

If it's been a while....yeah it's properly gone by now as vendor inventories reset after a certain time.

you dont need the full armor set for anything. She only upgrades one piece of it, so all you need is one.

+ at the end of the TG questline

Spoiler
You get Guild Master armor, a better version of the normal armor they give you.

Welcome. If you are on PC, you can add a piece with the console.
And not trying to be *that* guy, but when Brynjolf told you to collect the armour, he said not to sell it.

You didn't keep a single piece of it?

Spoiler
Some players will not be able to complete the Thieves Guild if they've lost or sold the guild-specific armor. This will also prevent using Tonilia as a fence until an upgrade is selected. A work around is to kill Gulum-Ei as it will forfeit your reward and thus not initiate this option. (Only applicable before the start of the next Thieves Guild quest.) As you also obtain the Guild Master Armor from Tonilia, the Under New Management quest cannot be completed if the aforementioned problem is present, preventing the 30G Thieves Guild Achievement from being unlocked.

If you're on a PC, you can get around the issue with the console.
