Hey Folks,

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the CK or patch 1.4? I figured we'd hear something this week.

I'm really looking forward to this so I've taken my game further into the MQ so when the CK comes out, I can focus on it. I can only imagine what kinds of mods all the talented modders will come up with once it's out. My first game is vanilla all the way though so I'd better get at it.

Patience is a virtue, and I have neither of both

I already have my spot picked out where I'm going to plant my home in the wilderness (west of Riverwood, across the river from the Guardian Stones). Not to mention that I'm planning on tweeking a few NPC faces, and tweek how food benefits my character.

I can't wait to see the works of others who are more crafty than I am!

Depends on what kind of modding you want to do. Making a house or dungeon and some other stuff like that is easy (making it look really nice is a bit harder), scripting and quests can be a bit more challenging, and arguably the hardest thing to do is new weapons and armor, as you need skill in a 3d modelling program and a painting program.

It's easy to use mods even if you don't create them. There will be new tutorials with the CK but the older tutorials are up now on Bethesda and the Nexus site if you want to take a look, It's free DLC from very talented people and a lot of them just involve putting the mod file into your data directory. You won't be sorry.

As a console player, I envy you...in a friendly way.

Good luck on those creations! I'll be lurking the nexus mod website and maybe I'll get a computer.

I saw a video comparison of skyrim on low and high graphics, and it's an amazing difference! The low graphics look similar to the ps3! That means it looks pretty good on low settings too.

Anyhow, can't wait to check out all of these creations.

I'm going for the North shore of Lake Illinalta, just near the sunken barrow. But I want to put a hovel near Riverwood as well, so that I can store stuff in the early stages of the game.

The first thing I'm making is a house that you can choose how it is built. Might even have to do some custom models if none of the existing buildings will work, which I doubt they will.

Agreed, but Bethesda is much better about getting things out when they say they are. Some would argue that that is why we have so many bugs in the first place.

Recently http://twitter.com/#!/Bethblog/statuses/155031000831901696info. I'd prefer a more substantial, well-tested patch on January 31st than another incremental update delivered earlier. Also, the Creation Kit will likely require the new patch, in which case it will have to wait for the patch to be released. Steam Workshop is likely a similar case.

They're working on it. Calm down and be patient. It's going to be January for a while yet.
