Thieves Guild Treasury - is there a way in?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 9:15 am

Is there a key somewhere to the door in the thieves guild. Brynjolf has already given me the key to the Guild Master's Tribute Chest - but where is the key to the double doors to the treasury? Is there just no way in after the last Guild Master "emptied" it. ?

I think that's a bug. It's supposed to stay open after the quest to open it.

Word. I have a room full of open, empty chests after I'm the guildmaster.

Also (to the OP): are you aware that your avatar is Edwin from Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn, or was it just a random pick? Just curious. BG2 was the greatest. I miss it, even with great games like Skyrim around.

I'm pretty sure you can close this door yourself, making it lock and unable to be opened again (though theres no real point in getting inside, the rooms never contains anything and is only there for the story element).

I just re-loaded to make sure it wasn't bad memory on my part (it happens sometimes), but for whatever reason the treasure room was open from prior to the Goldenglow assignment - and nobody notices anything wrong with all the empty chests until Karliah points it out. Silly me was thinking it was supposed to be another set of practice locks that had already been opened.

The whole Baldur's Gate series was great. And I miss it, too.

Good to see someone who recognizes it. :)
BTW Im guildmaster as well but the door is locked....and requires a key that is no where to be found.

It requires two keys to open it anyway. Maybe the skeleton key will do the trick.
