One of the things I loved about Morrowind and Oblivion was running very fast and jumping very high (minding the 'loading area' issue, of course). Half of the fun of going anywhere for me was like a constant little minigame of how stylish and accurately I moved about the world, and preferring and rooftops and rocks to sidewalks and roads.
I didn't mind Skyrim's more realistic approach to traveling capabilities, but part of me wishes they found a way to squeeze those old elements of fun in. I figured if they made a spell that did this sort of thing it would be exploited too much what with all the easily-achieved 0-cost to any spell, but a dragon shout would work out quite nicely.
If I could create some dragon shouts for Skyrim, they would be as follows:
- Sprint X times faster for a short time
- Jump (and land safely) an average house's height.
- Survive any fall for a short time (like the good ol' 1 point of Slowfall in Morrowind)
Or even make it into one shout, but the effect is determined by how long you charge it.
I wish I was a huger nerd so I could find the right dragon language words for such a shout.
Eh, that's just one random idea I had. Probably won't happen.
What sort of shouts would YOU want in Skyrim? :{D~
