my high elf is currently on 280 magicka through his start bonus and levels,but im also wearing a hood that boosts magicka by 40,a ring that boosts by 30 and a necklace that boosts by 40 yet it only seems to counts the 280 amount.is this a bug or is the bonus hidden somehow.

by the way im on ps3,so i cant use the console to check

If the stat is being affected by gear, it should show up as green in color in the constellation screen.

It should show your stat highlighted in green if you have fortified your stat in anyway. I will check this out now.... back in a few minutes

What is your magic level if you take all of these items off? Does it change?

it dosent change at all and its not written in green

Well upon testing it, you should see it highlighted green if you have increased your magica from it's unfortified level.


It would therefore appear to be a bug

is there anyway of perphaps fixing it as my playstyle focuses heavily on magicka

also he has a 31 smithing and my orc has a 27 smithing yet my orc can improve the same weapons twice as well(they both have the nessecary perks)

Orcs have a racial ability that affects both smithing and enchanting.

oh right.thanks for telling me,i was starting to think my high elf was seriously bugged

Is it just your magicka stat that does that or is it for other stats such as health or stamina modifiers?
