what is Eola's default armor?

I just read up on her at uesp and wiki and it says she has mage armor and stoneflesh, so that would be better than whatever she is wearing, however it doesn't say what her armor is. it looks like studded but i tried that in console and it would not remove.

Looks to me like studded armor and hide boots. What exactly did you try to do that suggests otherwise?

Just in case your game is different than mine, try using the "showinventory" command on her.

okay, this time it did work as far as the armor goes, but when i tried to remove her boots it keeps adding her armor back on. I don't know why they would give her mage armor then make her always default to crappy armor that ruins that perk.

Why don't you just change her outfit in the CK?

What are you trying to get her to wear? Followers will only equip something better than their default. They don't take enchantments into consideration and I don't think they take Smithing improvements into consideration either.

If you're trying to get her to wear robes she will not equip them because the leather-based stuff she has by default has armor rating and clothing has none.

Even if you pickpocket her armor off of her I don't think she'll equip robes. She might while she's following you, but she switch back to her underwear when you dismiss her and one of you zones. I tried clothing experiments with Annekke and this was my experience: I pickpocketed her Miner's Clothes and reverse pickpocketed Miner's Clothes with enchantments back to her. I traded some enchanted Legendary Fur Armor to her which she wore while following me. When I dismissed her she went back to her underwear after she or I zoned. :(

There's a way to remove the default set from her inventory, but there's no way to "force" equip her with certain items, so basically she'd sit in Reachcliff Cave in the buff until you choose to have her follow you. But if you're so sweet on her, hopefully she'll never leave your side! Anyway, here's what you gotta do:
  • Assuming you have Eola with you as a follower, open the console and select her and enter inv -- This brings up a list of all the items she has, including her default armor/weapon and whatever you've given her. So you may want to take back things you've given her so only her default items are left.
  • Use PageUp/PageDown to scroll her stuff and figure what you'd like to take from her. For example on mine, one line of her inventory reads 5 -Hunting Bow (0010E2dd) (100,100.00%) Worn . So that's quantity - item name - item id - she's wearing it .
  • So to remove the Hunthing Bows from her inventory, I'd type this into the console (still while Eola is targetted of course) -- removeitem 10e2dd 5 -- And that removes all five of the Hunting Bows.
  • Just use that basic command of removeitem itemid #ofitem for taking all of her other default stuff.
  • It goes without saying, but just reminding you that even if she only has one of an item, you still need to throw 1 at the end of the command. I forget that a LOT so yeah. @@
Hope this helps!
