Wow never seen anything like this before went to load my game and every single save file was gone.After a quick search in the Skyrim save folder i found the 3 auto saves.These auto save game files were not showing in the load screen in order to get them to work i had to change the autosave1.ess.bak to just autosave1.ess(thank god for google).Thank god it worked my character is back but i completely lost my Mage.It seems i am not the only one with this save game farce its complete BS and needs to be addressed.

Same thing happened to me last night, but was unable to recover anything. A patch loaded automatically and then "poof" it was as if I had never played the game. Everything just disappeared.

Did you check the save game folder all mine were gone apart from the 3 auto saves which were not showing on the load screen.If they are in the folder just do what i typed above and it should work.
