There are a few Falmer, and some larger enemies, ect, if you are doing ok on the surface, you should be ok down there,it depends on how buffed you are. Save often, as you could die with a surprized look on your face.

As for me I would wait until I reach level 20 or even more. But this depends on your character.. :unsure2:

It's not Blackreach you should concern yourself with, it's getting down to it. There are many more Falmer and traps in the Dwemer ruins above it than below. I do agree with the two above me as well. If you decide to venture down there now, be alert to your surroundings at all times as it's difficult to see down there even with a light spell. Remember that since they are blind, Falmer are alerted by noise, not sight. If you can make it down there, you'll have no problem actually being down there as long as you are vigilant. The views are quite breathtaking.

There is no point going down there till you are forced to do so by the MQ. It does lose it's apeal, once you've been down there though.

Hmm, lore-wise maybe, but gameplay-wise I think they are the same as any other NPC, I tried sneaking by them several times, even if I am stood still and not moving, they will detect me as soon as I am in their line of sight, even when I am wearing muffled boots and not even moving anyway.

(I never perk into sneak though, but I can sneak by most bandits using the same gear, as long as I keep out of line of sight, thus I assume Falmer aren't really blind)
