I Think my 3rd Person Camera View is Bugged

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:12 am

This happened on like day 3 of playing and at that point I was too far in to abandon the character, but can y'all verify how the 3rd person should look on PS3?

As I remember, the character was in the center of the screen and the 'camera' was zoomed out just enough to see the tops of his knees (backs of the knees). Now, my character is left of center and the 'camera' is zoomed in so that I can barely see the top of his waist - annoying as hell.

I think the change happened when I sat down in my bedroom in Whiterun (I assume it's my bedroom - double bed - even though Lydia seems to spend all her time in there...and not in the good way  ) and panned the 'camera' around and it clipped through the wall.

Am I misremembering or just being a baby? ...not that those are mutually exclusive. XD

Bethesda, if you're 'listening': I'd love the variable zoom like in Fallout 3 (Xbox version - IDK what PS3 version of camera control was). :disguise:

You can hold the right anolog stick in and then move it around to adjust the zoom.

The 3rd person view is directly behind the character only when the weapon is drawn. When the weapon is sheathed it goes into an "over the shoulder" style of view. You can adjust both by holding down R3 which is the right joystick button and using the left joystick to adjust.
