Favourite Skyrim time of day?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 1:24 am

A bit of a strange thread I know I know.

But do you have a favourite time of day?. I think mine is between 1:30 - 2:30pm.
The way the light shines down on the Skyrim world, especially the water, just makes everything look soo beautiful.

You know a games really good when sometimes you just wanna walk around and admire things, or just go for a ride hunting for no reason.

8-11pm I just love watching the night take over skyrim, the snowy areas feel so much colder, and in the middle of nowhere, with no way to set up a camp, its a tiny bit scary :P

I'm a fan of early morning personally. Especially when you go to sleep in the wilderness at night and then when you wake up it's all foggy.

Dusk and dawn, since the colours are more subtle then. The orange dawn over Eastmarch is truly one of the most beautiful things in this game. Clear nights with northern light are beautiful too.

Any rainy day, i even sometime use the Storm shout to make rain come. (The rain effect can last much more than the damaging effect of the spell)

Like others, I'd say dawn and dusk. The lighting it much more interesting at those times.

That being said, I like even more when it's foggy or there's a raging thunderstorm. At those times, the time of day just isn't as important.

6:00 AM.

I love this time because the sun is just rising up, and I can sit on a mountain somewhere and just stare at it.

Dusk when the orange sunset taints into the rivers etc, majestic. On a different note has anyone found, to the West of Skyrim this huge bowl in the landscape, I think its from a flying saucer.

The foggy mornings of The Rift and The Reach. The Reach more so.

I absolutely love the Reach in that kind of weather. It's my favorite area in all of Skyrim.
