I'm doing the ringmaster quest (where you need to get a gold ore, mammoth tusk, and two flawless sapphires for the Riften Argonian jeweler). I know that there's only two flawless sapphires that I'm guaranteed to find in the game. I've got the one in the temple dungeon in Markath, but now I'm trying to get the one in the Jagged Crown temple.

I'm told that I can knock the bowl that has it down with ranged attacks, but my arrows aren't doing didly.

What's the easiest way to get it down? I don't have any shouts yet, though I could easily get unrelenting force just by completing Dragon Rising, but I want to keep the dragons out for the time-being if I can help it.

I wasn't being a smarty. And I know I didn't answer your question, nor did I read the post, due to the possible content of detailing a quest item and or need. I was just making a suggestion in that it may get you a quicker and better response.

The way I deal with finding something rare is to ignore it and do other stuff for a while. They just pop up once in a while when you do your usual dungeon clearing thing as part of random loot. More often when your level is higher.

I didnt realize there was a out of reach flawless sapphire where you get the crown...does anyone have a pic or vid where in the dungeon it is?

did you try telekenesis or fus ro dah?

All I know about it is that if you do NOT do the questline for the Crown, the sapphire isn't there. And yes, I used console commands to find that out, being a PC user. And since I don't do the civwar questline EVER, I simply consoled myself the second one.

Odd, I just had a look at my jewels collection and I have 5 flawless sapphires. Pretty sure I just had one on me when I got the miniquest from the Argonian. Find 'em, they're out there!

Out of reach? I just did the quest and found a flawless sapphire just lying around somewhere (it might have been next to the trapped treasure chest in the secret room, in which case you must be careful so you don't get impaled).

Yea like that other guy mentioned there are far more than 2 flawless Saphires in the game. I think my safe in the solitude house has a dozen of them.

I've mined some from ebony and quicksilver deposits.
