Pacifist Safe Quests

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:28 am

I recently made a Pacifist character and it's pretty interesting so far but I thought about it and realized something, not all quests will work the way I'm playing right now. You can only do so much without doing physical harm to people. Does anyone know of a list of quests that a Pacifist character can complete? I can use Illusion spells to manipulate people into killing for me and can lure enemies into traps, but that is about the extent of my ability. Post any quests you believe I can complete with a Pacifist character and I'll try to get back to you on if it's possible.

Blood on the Ice - If you will do it right, you will kill only the murderer.

All random deliver quest, Sheogorath's quest. There is not much of them, most require some kind of violence.

The temple of Mara quests you get in Riften are totally pacifist oriented.

In general you can make your character as strong through tradeskills as you can through any kind of loot, so a pacifist character might concentrate very heavily on tradeskills to make strong armour so they are very tough vs enemies.

Do you permit your character to kill animals?

Do you permit your character to kill undead, skellies and Draugr?

Or is your pacifism total.

I focus heavily on Illusion to keep myself safe, I can also fall back to my Mage Armor perk I got if I somehow find myself stuck in the middle of a battle. And no, I cann't use any sort of attack on anyone or anything.

By limiting yourself in such a way you're not going to have much of a game outside of a few fetch quests. I'm planning a pacifist char myself, but limiting my pacifism to Man, Mer (including Falmer) and non-fictional beasts such as Mammoths, sabre cats, bears etc. That opens up the MQ, TG until Mercer Frey and college until Ancano.

Casting fury so that people will kill on your behalf is hardly pacifism.

Being a pacifist in a game like Skyrim is extremely difficult to do. You might as well hang out with the Greybeards all that time because tha'ts the only pacifist that you're going to have.

Agreed. It's more like manipulation. Actually, it is manipulation! Manipulation my friend, is a very aggressive form of control, therefore eliminating your pacifism.

There is no pacifist way to kill someone. Being reluctant to kill would make much more sense. That way, your character can still kill when absolutely necessary (As in self defense), but can still frown upon murder, violent actions, executions, ect.

My politician has his beautiful blonde Nord bodyguard kill everything for him, with a little assistance from his Sanguine Rose.
