Quick enchanting

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:16 am

I feel like a cheater for saying this, but is there an easier way of raising my enchant skill? In Morrowind, I only used the Soul Trap Glitch to level up my enchant skill (because enchanting is the boss!) but that was it. I really don't want to spend a couple ten of thousands leveling myself up, and I don't want to have to make a bunch of dinky enchanted weapons. I want to be able to make big bad@$$ weapons. You know? the ones that taunt your enemies by flaunting their souls in front of their faces, and then eat it after they're done being ressurected as zombies.

What is the Soul Trap glitch?

Hmm... Leveling up crafting skills quickly all require some degree of grinding.

Leveling up enchanting most often involves enchanting dinky weapons. I can't think of any other way. Most people find that leveling up enchanting is quicker and easier than leveling up smithing or alchemy.

Also, most of the power of enchanting comes from enchanting support gear than enchanting weapons themselves. You get better weapon upgrade with Enchanted Smithing gear and better potions with enchanted alchemy gear.

Trap lots of low level souls. When recharging, you get points towards your skill up, it does not matter how much charge you apply each time. Other than Unenchanting and making enchantments, this is the only way to up your skill.

However, in this game, Enchanting only seems to help when making enchantments, not actually using them. Other than two of the perks related to Souls. Unlike Morrowind where the Enchanting skill had an impact on how much charge was used, here it is the magic school that determines charge usage.

point made. and the soul trap glitch only worked in Morrowind, I think, and it involved making a spell that increase any of your attributes or skills and then adding a "Soul Trap on Target for 1 second". when ever you use it, the skill you increase, doesn't lose the added effects and can be increased as many times as desired. Example: Enchant skill is 20. make a spell that increase your enchant skill by 80 points for 1 second (or two, whatever floats your boat) and then add a soul trap on target for 1 second. when you cast the spell just once, you are at 100 enchant skill. if you cast it again, you are now at 180. you could go on forever in that. the same can be done with speed and strength and stuff like that.
(WARNING: try not to level; up your speed that much. I stood on Red Mountain once, had a speed of 500 and ran off the tip of the mountain. next thing i know, I am landing on a spear of a Ordinator in Vivec.)

(ANOTHER WARNING: The higher your strength is, the faster you can break weapons. be careful, and above all, use protection.)

(YET ANOTHER WARNING: Wub-Dub)

Ok. Now I understand what you are looking for. There is a couple of glitches in Skyrim too.

There is a similar glitch in Skyrim in alchemy with Potion of Fortify Restoration, you might enjoy that. There is some work involved getting there, but once you get there, you become invincible. You can make super powerful weapons armors and potions http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Fortify_Restoration

Also, there is a glitch with Oghma Infinium. It's supposed to be destroyed after you use it once, but there is a glitch where you can use it over and over again. But it's kinda hard to get super early. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Oghma_Infinium
