I have one but simple question regarding this quest, which is one of my favourite quests in the game.

My question is: Why on earth is Ramati's dead body naked? I can't get my head around it!

Does she sleep naked and got killed in her sleep? If so then why is her body halfway across the living room?

It's odd...

Thoughts?

I can think of only one, the falmer violated her. I dont like that place it just gets more disturbing the more you progress.

Maybe she was getting dressed when the Falmer attaked her, so she ran, trying to reach the door, but they caught her, and that's why she ended up halfway across the living room.

Maybe they grabbed hold of her, and her clothes ripped when she tried to free herself.

Maybe it was a really nice dress, and one of the Falmer is now wearing when he's alone.

On the other hand, a naked corpse isn't exactly unusual. They could have simply done what we do all the time - killed her and took her stuff. I've left more than one naked corpse behind and violated none of them. The Falmer loot the corpses of their fallen comrades under cirtain circumstances as well by the way.

I stumbled across this quest the other day, i agree, it's very Good. I love finding these stories in Skyrim.


Any number of reasons why she was nekked, i didnt really care, lol, just assumed it was their home, why shouldnt be in her underwear ?

This one thinks it is just mer and men behaving as they will.
They call us thieves, pickpockets, beasts and worse, and they will not even let us into their warm towns when we freeze at their gates.
But what they do to each others dead bodies is far far worse...This one has seen it with his own eyes!
This one is also very glad that they dislike our kind, as otherwise we may become like them and they like us, and our ideas would then one-day become the same!

Since the Falmer regard humans as meat sources--finding carved up people in Falmer sites is pretty common--I assume it was to get to the "good parts" more easily.

I did wonder. I suspected it was a glitch. Or they looted her.

I don't think it was anything more sinister than they wanted her stuff and they wanted her for dinner or alchemy.

Another adventurer came by before you and looted her good stuff, but didn't care to go any further in the quest.... good as reason as any.

Even more because neither my "messed up" mind can imagine a scene where a bunch of Falmer totally out of their minds trying to violate a breton woman before (or worst,after) killing her..

Couldn't work this place out. Decided to kill everything in sight ( as usual).

Well, that's kinda the point once you get into it. After you've found out the secret and back story of what happened in there, that's probably what you're going to want to do anyways. I know I did, not a single one of those nasty little things was breathing when I left.

And then finding his remains...gross.

Maybe chaurus are like those moths that eat cloth???

I assumed she was naked due to being wakened in her sleep... made a run for the door and didn't make it.

They feed humans to Chaurus, and their digestive system can't handle clothing. Proof? You never find decent loot in Chauruses.
