Heads on display

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:38 pm

So if I cut a NPC's head off can I carry it to my house and place it on a shelf as a trophy or will it vanish after placing it? Morbid I know but I am a killer orc who destroys all!

nope good luck getting it through the cell

If somehow you can lure them into your house then yes but you also will have the body there as well.

I just took over that crazy womans house(anis or whatever) just outside Riverwood and cut peoples heads off, carry it to the cabin and place it on a table or desk somthing cool! I wish I could keep the headless bodies in the celler there.

speaking of luring enemies: is this another aspect of skyrim that has been unnecessarily and unwisely cut from their game-- enemies don't actually go through doors and follow us now?? i was in a cave and they wouldn't come out.

well npcs could leave the current cell (the doors with load screens) if they were inside of in Oblivion I have not really noticed or even really looked into it and see if that is different in Skyrim although I have noticed if I am in a cave sometimes that I could leave and nothing following me but at the same time I believed since I was stealthed most of the time it was the reason of such.

You'd have to kill the individual, use dead thrall on their corpse, bring them to the preferred cell, and then decapitate them there. Revisiting regularly to make sure that the corpses don't despawn (unless it's designated not to despawn.)

Oh yeah I forgot about that. The first time a goblin followed me out of a cave I just about [censored] myself. I should have remembered that. lol
Well I'm not sure if they pass between cells but I know that somtimes they'll go through doors and sometimes they won't.

Interesting.

While incredibly morbid this is exactly the kind of thing the Gauls and Celts and Britons of Europe did in Roman times to their enemies (especially Romans) 2000 years ago.

In fact after Boudica`s men had destroyed Londinium. Heads decorated barbarian homes a plenty.

I prefer decorating my house with half-naked Dibella statues.

But all to their own.

Yeah, I am going with skulls. Heads just start to smell pretty bad after a while.

Yeah skulls don't do it for me, I like to see the expression on their faces right before I hacked it off :)
