I'm doing the "Good Intentions" quest in the Mages Guild quest line, and every time I follow ancano he just stands outside the Archmages Quarters doing nothing. Not only that but the Arch Mages quarters remain locked the entire time, its making it impossible to continue the quest line.

Anyone know about this/have a solution?

Been doing that. Its not helping.

I have had to wait for Ancano to give my character a lecture on how to deal with the Psijic Monk, before He would unlock the door to the Archmages Quarters. You can try moving closer to the door and hope Ancano will trigger the speech, or try talking to him when he stops by the locked door.

I am trying to talk to him, he just says "I said lets go, now.". And he's not saying anything else.

Can you bump him or Unrelenting Force him?

I can push him around, and stuff. But he just walks back to his corner.

Finally found a solution.

Had to open the console, and type setstage MG04 40. It let me skip that part of the quest at least. To those who answered the thread, thank you for trying.
