Divinities and Daedra Lore

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:51 pm

I've decided that my characters need back stories, and I need to work out which Divinities and Daedra to align them with. I know that Nord chars have the Nine but who would non-nord chars worship? Could someone help or tell me where top look for the relevent info as I'm not well versed in TES Lore? :tes:

The UESP is a decent starting point. The Linked Topics in the Elder Scrolls Lore Forum are a second stop (Especially the Imperial Library, every in game book  ), then start to read a few posts in the Forum.
Beware of Monkey Truth, not the posters with monkey/ape avatars, but some of the wilder stories that are really just fan fiction.

Not all Nords follow the Nine Divines and some still worship the Old Nord Pantheon of

Shor, Alduin, Kyne, Tsun, Stuhn, Jhunal, Orkey, Dibella and Mara.

The Nine Divines is an Imperial religion that mixed Nord and Altmer pantheons. For a more Daedra aligned character I would suggest an Orc (for worshipping Malacath) or a Dunmer for the worship of any Daedra.

Although any race will do since, in reality, any of them could be Daedra Worshippers.
