Things that bug me. What bugs you?

Im sure some of these (or all) have been beat to death already, and I'm hoping for some mods to fix some of them. What bugs you?

It bugs me that there are so many women in combat. It seems odd that so many women are walking around in armor weilding two handed weapons. Not a whole lot of women given that type of role in any culture/society I can think of (might be some I can't think of though). Yet in the Elder Scrolls universe it's about 50%.

It bugs me that an old farm wife armed with a dagger will attack a dragon, or a huge armored battle axe carrying Nord. People don't run away enough. A theif in Riften was gang mobbed by the entire market crowd and the guards were just firing arrows into the mob.

It bugs me that money isn't worth anything. I have $300,000+ and for what? Buying anything becomes pointless once your able to blacksmith anything. Enchanting is a little more difficult now that you can't pay somone to do it, but at least that would have given me something to spend my money on.

It bugs me that I'm addicted to fast travel (I have no discipline). I much prefered the Morrowind method of having a local transport service like silt strider (horse and cart) but why not have the mages guild (college) style of transport also? More story driven methods of travel would have been better. And maybe have the horse and cart be more dynamic. Maybe they are moving around the roads between the major cities, with armed escorts, or maybe have caravans.

It bugs me that there was no thought given to people who collect items. You get one or two armor stands in a house? Even the largest house doesn't have squat for displaying armor and weapons. I want an armor stand for every set of armor in the game and then some. I want weapon plaques for each weapon make and model. I want enough book stands to be able to store a copy of every book in the game. I want the ability to customize my house, to expand rooms and add as many racks, shelves and stands as I want. How about having the lumber mill work as a building service that will do home additions and custom furniture, like a mini Sims game.

It bugs me that I've played so much of the game before the Creation Kit was released and that it will be a few weeks or months after it's released until some nice game changing mods have come along, like custom homes and creatures.

It bugs me that I'm so hooked on this game that I was almost late for a first date last Thursday night. I'm 34 years old. How do you explain that to a girl you just met. It bugs me that my friend is married and just can't get into a "game like that" because he "doesn't have the time". What a stupid jerk.

Most sixist and silly comment I have read to date on these forums and I have been here since Morrowind. Females can do anything they want as well as males in reality and especially in fantasy games. I could name numerous women warriors in the fantasy world, books, movies, TV, games, etc. Not to be insulting but how old is the Op or more so how old is this kind of thinking in 2012...lol

What a patronizing thing to say. How is that sixist? He is right. As a female I feel like I'm in a world full of steroid and testosterone taking feminists, the kind that wear flannel shirts. When engaged in hand-to-hand fights my own character feels like a man too. I'm not butch irl and I prefer to use my bow and dagger for a backstab but sometimes such fights cant be avoided. I changed my character from a Breton to a Dunmer, hoped it would be different, didn't notice any though. Only as a mage can I play in a feminine way without feeling like a half-man.

Actually I wasn't referring to females not being able to play the part. It was mostly that it's so uncommon in real life culture and history. If a 6 foot tall amazon woman is strong enough to wield a heavy weapon and wear armor then so be it. But they don't fit that profile in the game most of the time. They have slender arms and the slight female frame and it just looks funny. I think characters like Mjoll the Lioness would stand out more if half of every bandit you killed wasn't female. What bugs me most is having to kill them. Obviously it's just a game, but I still have a hard time doing it. So, my character doesn't when he can avoid it, which made me start to realize just how many women there are walking around in the warrior role. It seems out of place to me, especially when compared to our own reality. Obviously not so much in the Elder Scrolls universe. Oh yeah, and this is the first Elder Scrolls game I've played as a male, so there.

Things like this would always be difficult to implement because of the different ways people think. If it were like real life (well, back in that time), people would complain there are too many men and women are just doing nothing. I think the game tries to maintain a balance. Think I've met about 50/50 men and women warrior types. Doesn't really bother me that much though.

I think the mini-games like cutting wood tend to make you want a more of a mini-game. Because you can cut wood, it makes you wonder what else could be done with it. It's not really the Sims mind you, but no doubt mods will take care of that.

Agree with the CK part - I'm playing the game and realizing that when the CK comes out it could change the game, but I guess that just means another play through.

It bugs me that I cannot have more than one companion.

How am I supposed to raise an army to wage war against all those who oppose me?

That is the main one.

Edit: And I don't mean just using quests to get temporary companions. I mean REAL followers. Ones I can dress in uniform and who will strike down the guards when I ransack villages.

THOSE followers.

It bugs me that horses aren't a fleshed out part of the game. I have seen one traveler on the road actually riding a horse in over 100 hours of game play. I have found horses and adventurers out in the wild, but just hanging out, not going anywhere. People just seem to prefer walking. Why can't your companion ride a horse? You can tell them to do just about everything else.

It bugs me that dragons aren't very tough. I can't stand in the blast more than a couple of times, but if I can get in close it's over with really quick. It's my fault I guess for having a super blacksmithed and enchanted weapon, but the rules of Skyrim allowed me to have it. Dragon bites were instantly fatal at low level, not so much anymore. How come they don't swoop down and grab me, then lift me up and drop me? How come they don't tail bash me 100 yards? How come their scales aren't arrow proof? How come you can't buy a dragon saddle and tame one?
