hardcoe type mode like in FNV?

Would be cool if there was a hardcoe mode like in new vegas where you had to eat, drink and sleep. It would make inns and food you come across more useful and meaningful. Of course this mode would be optional as well.

yes although a better system than they had. the one thing i missed the most was ammo weight. it amazes me that i can walk around with tiny little pieces of food that have weight and yet my 100s of arrows weigh nothing. i forgot the mod i used for oblvion but im hoping the author makes the same mod for skyrim because it was perfect and adjustable if you wanted to change something.

What would you want it to exactly? Like details.

I would have loved a hardcoe mode. It could have had a hypothermia meter as well. Sadly, it was not implemented.

hypothermia meter would of been real cool, forcing you to take warm clothing or armor with you, really like that idea. hardcoe mode would be cool cause so many times i come across an inn and think to myself ''how cool would it be if i needed to eat or drink''

I personally would not really have played it, though I think it definately would add to the game for many people. Something like FNV's would suffice, maybe a little more expansion

I would like to see hardcoe in the future. One thing that always irked me is how you can swim around in the Ghost Sea without taking any damage. Just looking at that water makes me shiver!

I do believe the PC modding community is excited to play with such things (needing to eat/sleep as mods).

I recall someone mentioning that since there is some form of "hunger mechanic" (as far as weakening due to certain conditions, and getting weaker over time) in the game already (no spoilers) that this may be easier to do than it sounds.

It'd be cool if some races got added abilities for hardcoe Mode. Maybe Argonians can swim in cold water, while Nords get Hypothermia much slower?

Having to eat and drink to regen health and magicka perhaps.

But hardcoe mode similiar to fallout is kinda pointless for this game.

Skyrim is not a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. The water is not irradiated and food is bountiful. It is much too easy to live off the land. There are even snowberries that grow in the tundra.

Personally (Though this was directed at the people who answered so far...), I would like to see Tiredness, Hunger, and Thirst implemented. The issue I see though, would be if it would have health items regenerate health like New Vegas... since magic is suppose to heal all wounds and whatnot.

if we could get some sort of bodypart damage system in place it would make more sense, because healing wounds... you would simply have more choices that do the same thing, and would allow for greater flexibility in RPing and character development... while something like a broken leg (No I'm not using the obvious joke here), would need be treated by a doctor NPC or something.

The more I type and think about this, the greater of an undertaking it seems like it would be though, considering the system in place would make anything beyond just the essential needs of a person, difficult to implement.

And to address this:

New Vegas' hardcoe mode wasn't exactly impossible either. Kill some Coyotes and your set just as long as you svck water out of enough toilets.

You mention Magicka regeneration above... that wouldn't be bad. Maybe greater magicka volume, but it can only regenerate through... meditation or something, so using spells means you have a fixed period until you burn out and can't use any prior to drawing more power from the ether or something.

Do we have any available information of what exactly Magicka IS? I mean is it Mana, or is it the amount of energy you can channel at that time?
