They cannot take our Skyrim! (Our arrow IN the knee...)

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:53 pm

As we all know, the classic cliché of "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee," is massively used and viral on the internet. However, people are ruining the statement with "arrow to the knee." I'm not splitting hairs, this is simply the legitimate statement from the ex-adventurer guards of Skyrim. I feel like most of the people have either heard the statement once or have never heard it before and think that just because they've played or seen Skyrim once that they are qualified to crack the joke. I just thought I'd get it out there; that people don't get it right or say, "to the knee is better and funnier or to the knee is the real one because the internet changed it." They can't take that from Skyrim. I know a lot of people don't care, but I do.
What is your take on the posers, forum?

Yes, like yesterday when I had to correct someone who misquoted Gandalf the Gray from Lord of the Rings...

I'd prefer it if they just dropped this "joke" altogether...

Haha, I wouldn't hold your breath!

Internet is full of prepubascent virgins, they can't think for themselves, if they could, then they wouldn't be prepubascent virgins, thus everyone just says the same things as everyone else.

Maybe the NPC's have that issue also.

I'm not even going to point out the irony here...

While the "joke" is getting very old very quickly, It really doesn't bother me too much. In fact, ironically enough, the only time I ever really hear that "joke" is on these forums....

I used to wish for the same thing as you, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

Yes, IN.

Personally, I was much more affected by the guy who took a sword to the chest. He's so non-chalant about it and I was surprised he was still alive.

I always play these games and feel like there should be about 5-10 times as much idle pvssyr for people. Makes me wonder how much of the overall budget the voice acting is and how much it would cost to increase it.

Just to mix things up for ya, we can bring back "Don't tase me bro!"... but I'm sure that would devolve into having the word "arrow" in it somewhere.

Yeah, I noticed after I re-read my post that it could possibly be interpreted several different ways, ironically or otherwise. No offense intended to anyone, I should rather have put "idiots are idiots regardless of race, gender or any other differing factors" :D

Amen to that.

Internet Memes have become like the radio.. take one moderately entertaining thing, and then r#pe it until I want to take a drill to my temple rather than having to listen to it again.

....True story bro :P
