i am ever so curious about the story behind the giant in blackreach.

My god! thought I't was just an coincidence that i found him there. I totally agree how the fu* did he get there? I want to know his story KNOW.

One of the Elevators that take you directly to the surface could have been used by the giant to get down there.

I'm more intrigued by the presence of the dragon actually. I'm guessing there's expansive tunnels we didn't get to see/possibly collapsed that he used to enter the area ages ago.

I actually feel bad fighting him. I kind of get the feeling he came out in the first place because he heard me shout and thought he wasn't alone anymore.

I think the dwemer just liked having sentient pets

He got killed by the Falmer and their servants before I could even get near him. I wanted to let him fly freely through Blackreach, but alas, he thought it was more interesting to fight the little guys.

About the giant, I guess he stumbled on the elevator like Lord Vukodlak said. Nothing I can help him with 'though, I don't speak Giantese.

Once upon a time their was a lonely Giant. He lived in a frozen wasteland away from the troubles that occurred in the fields of Whiterun in which hunters would come and hunt down his mammoths. However he no longer had a mammoth companion with him. The frost spiders and their venom had made sure of that... Now he traveled the frozen lands by himself looking for a new place to call home. One day he stumbled upon a strange tower poking out of a mountain side with the door hanging open. This door was large and decorative... Something the giant had never seen before! It's large size called to him, it appeared to be made for him based on it's scale!

So out of curiosity the giant decided to check inside the building. However he did not spot the lever in the middle of the tower thus, he kicked it with his big toe by accident. This had activated the elevator causing it to descend, however this event made it the elevators last journey for without the lever returning to the surface was nigh impossible! When the giant stepped out of the elevator he was greeted by a strange and wondrous site! Giant mushrooms that glowed brighter than any campfire he had made along strange rocks that mimicked the night sky covered the land! The giants natural curiosity had sunk in and from then on the Giant set out to explore the new world forgetting the pain and loneliness he once knew.

I've really got to explore that place a little more. I've been there twice, both times with the same character, and I did not encounter any of this. I guess the place freaked me out so bad that I went in, grabbed what I needed and hit the gate.

My mistake. But creepy dark places freak me out. I'm just a baby Nord.
