to locking my self in this dungeon .-.


so was doing the companion questline got up to the point where you finish being a were wolf for the 1st time and im doing the dungeon where Skjar is killed since

I still shut every door behind me been doing this since morrowind I clciked teh chain at the begiing of the dungeon then clicked it again and dashed past the gates that went up forgetting that was the only way out (did this dungeon on my mage think i did the same thing then too but had a back up save)


so i clear this dungeon and then sadly find out theres no way out so i rlaod my oldest save its after i had locked the gate behind me .-.

why didint bethesda decide to make it so you couldn't close the gate again like they do with some doors .-. now i have to go through companion questline again its horrible at the very least should of been a way to open the gate back up

Are you able to get as close as you can to the gate and play around with the camera, sometimes you can do this at a locked door and due to the edges of the door you sometime are able to activate the lock mech. on the other side.

playing on 360

and it the switch wasn't even close to the door was like across the room behind a pillar and didn't have wirlwind sprint (dont like doing main quest dragons are just graphically updated cliff racers that breath fire (and ice))

deleted the save re training my character in the tuturiall 45/63 one handed skill .-.

Always save looking at the entrance to a dungeon (from the outside). Keep that save until you're done with the dungeon. This has come in handy for me more than once, when the dungeon bugged out on me (like spinning pillars not spinning). You can't depend on autosaves. They will get overwritten before you leave a dungeon with multiple areas.

i turned auto save off .-. I prefer to manual

Perhaps stop closing gates behind you , doors OK , gates bad :tongue:
