Nope, somebody already guessed that.

Well, I'll be home in an hour or so to reveal the answer. Without a PC, it would be a pain to reveal the answer and link everything together, so I'll just leave another hint that will surely make it a lot easier.

The NPC in question is named and quest related.

In my experience, he spammed Fus Ro Dah and I could hardly stand up during each encounter. You can identify him from his illusions during the fights by noting the horns on his helmet.

He can make 2 clones of himself while fighting. He also fights with his brothers in your second encounter with him.

He and his actual brothers were mentioned in the book Lost Legends, where they killed their father Gauldur, the powerful court wizard, to get their hands on his powerful amulet

And the answer is... Sigdis Gauldurson! He is one of the 3 murderous brothers whom you need to slay for his fragment of the Gauldur Amulet.
