Hi, I am on that quest in The Companions called something like "Escaped Convict" where I am suppose to track down, find and kill this convict that has escaped or something.

Well the issue is, is, how the F am I suppose to find him/her ? I took the quest, it is in my quest journal, I have it checked/highlighted as active and no where does it tell me where to go. No marker, no hints, nothing.

Pretty big world out there, so, seriously, how am I suppose to do this ?

So I looked it up in the UESP, and well, that seemed to be not really much written about it at all, and the page even mentioned it was "under construction"/being written in a sense. So no help at that place.

Then I went to the Elder Scrolls Wiki, in which there is some stuff written about it, but it says there is no specific location per se. That this criminal always moves around. But there should be a marker on my map for him/her. In which there is not.

I am on the xBox 360, and it does mention a few bugs this question may have, but they are all on the PS3 supposedly. But one of the bugs mentioned is having no marker show up. Weird.

Anyway, is there anything anyone has figured out to do if in this situation ?

Unfortunately you are experiencing a bug, I don't trust the platform based bugs ( on the elderscrolls wiki), it's just that the people who edited the page had the bug on that platform, I suggest installing the game to your hard drive (if not done already), as that stops 90% of the bugs from happening (at least for me.)

Edit: Reload a save prior to starting said quest and start it again post install and see if it changes.

Ok, thanks for the advice. As I do not have the game installed to my HD. Though I did try to load a earlier save, and that didn't help.

Next I will try to install the DVD to my hard drive. Hopefully that will help.

Now this may sound lame, but how do you instal a game to your hard drive from the disc ? I have never even tried doing that before.

While on the Dashboard you press the X or Y (it will take you to a screen called game details) button where it says "Play Skyrim..."
