Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:44 pm

Does anyone know if official DLC is going to be released soon for Skyrim on Xbox 360, If some DLC is being released I cant wait. Its Just because I really liked the Houses DLC for Oblivion like The Mages Tower and the Evil Lair

no there i sno info on dlc as of yet i would say that we might here something by mid may ( it's a prediction not confirmation )

and besides dont be so harsh to posters he has a point the 1.4 patch and ck have to come out first then they have to fix any problems that show up after that, just bind your time im sure there are thousands of things you havent done yet, you don't need dlc yet.

Edit when i was writing this it was in the mod section.

Please no. I don't want Bethesda to think about anything but fixing what they got before they go off and start working on a DLC.

No there is no information on any DLC yet.

They need to fix the game before we get any DLC.

Oblivion DLC was a joke except the Shivering Isles. I want the expansions that Bethesda has promised opposed to any other form of penny pinching DLC.

There will most likely not be a house dlc or one like the vile lair. They said that the size of the skyrim dlcs will be close to SI DLC for Oblivion (best DLC ever played)

They did say that they want to do big DLC packs of a size between Fallout 3's DLC and Shivering Isles.

So I guess that rules out House DLC (atleast as independent pieces) as well as seeing DLC any time soon.

Personally I like this attitude. Not just release a ton of small DLC packs while the game is still hot, but really return to their workshop and add something that expands the actual contents on all fronts. Of course the Skyrim fan in me can't wait for anything new and would probably pay 4 dollars for some castle, but in the long run it is better to have waited and received quality content.

If Bethesda really plans to release BIG dlcs, then we probably won't be hearing anything in at least 6 months or more after the game release.

Currently the only information we have had is Todd Howard saying that the DLC will be more 'meaty', which means that we'll have to wait a while before they release any.
I can't wait for DLC to come though, hopefully they will expand on the Thalmor and will also add a Broken Steel style dlc that adds the impacts of your actions. Also, house DLC would be a great addition.

As much as I'd like to see some new content soon, I'd rather see some of the issues that this game has addressed first.

I'm not really frequenting the issues forums, but I had the idea that issues were more quest breaking rather than game breaking?

Yeah, it's not that great and it is unnecessary, but at least they are going the high road and only making the exclusivity 1 month instead of 1 year.

Well I can see that being true. Not because I hate Xbox or anything but Skyrim on PS3 is unplayable currenlty for most people, so why release DLC?

There are so many things wrong with that sentence that I don't even know where to begin.

I agree that I would like to see a big beefy DLC, but not right now I am still enjoying the core content. One thing I would like to see for consoles though is if the developers could take some of the more popular mods that are out there and convert them for console use and throw them out there as DLCs for XBOX and PS3, that would be cool. Maybe once the CK is released and the modding community really starts going strong they can look into this.
