Charactor Seperation?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 3:07 am

I decided to try out a new Charactor as I've done all I can(mostly) in my first play through, so created a new character, but found the saves for this charactor dumped into the same 'save pool' as my first charctor. Is there no way to seperate your different charctors???

It seems to me, the way it is, if you want switch between charactors, you need to scroll through an endless list of saved games trying to find the charcter and HOPEFULLY it's latest save. Is this correct??? It can't be with a game that encourages multiple playthroughs. I'm hoping it organized better and I'm missing something?

Oblivion was like this. What I did to combat this was just play one character at a time. Finish a character, and not go back. But if I wanted to, it would be quite a pain seeing as how I have 700+ saves in 90 hours lol. When I start my next character, I intend on moving the saves from my first character to a backup folder. This way I can keep everything somewhat organized.

I tend to play one character at time, but it still works out horribly since my family shares the xbox.

I wish there was a system of organizing saves like Dragon Age: Origins had. It was sorted by character.

Are you on the PC? if so you can go into your save folder and rename your saves to anything you want, this helps a lot when you have more than one character.

I have 4 characters now. When I save to quit, I pan the camera around to the person's face. Then when I go to load the character I scroll through the files and look at the screen shots.

If your on the xbox you can just throw all the saves on a flash drive and store them on your computer if you want to save them. Or, you can just create another xbox account and start a new character on there.. the saves won't be mixed in. As far as I know you can create as many non-live accounts as you want.. You also get to get achievements again with a different account.

Or just make a new save slot for the character you decide to use and just overwrite that one save slot if you are on said character and advance more. I have three characters, each character has their own slot if I decide to advance it more. What gets automaticly overwritten are the Auto save slots. For PC your manual save slots are named what your charcters name is.

I live in fear I will overwrite my girlfriend's favorite character. I also think they should've split them up at the menu level.
