Pure Orc Warrior berserker, sword, axes, or maces?

Title. I made a sick orc whom I want to be a pure warr with no block, probably dual wield. Swords, maces, or axes?

Use whichever you think works best in combat.

Axes are the worst in terms of actual power. But that's the most orcish. Maces will do a lot damage, ignoring 75% of opponent armor.

Keep in mind though that armour is barely a factor, since most opponents only wear non-upgraded Fur or Studded or something, and dragons don't have any armour.

OT: I'd go with swords, since they're the coolest looking if you ask me. Besides they are the fastest, which appeals to me.

I played on master difficulty with both blades and maces. The 75% armor ignoring is huge. It became a lot easier to kill everything but unarmoed animals with maces compared to blades, only against animals did I use blades. In the end, that small additional damage you gain from a critical hit is smaller than the added damage from 75% armor ignored the maces get.

Besides, there are plenty of bandits wearing iron and steel armor, and some bandit chiefs even in steel plate. I actually ran across one lone bandit on the road in dwarven, although that's only happened once. Met a couple thieves in elven armor. So armored opponents aren't as rare as all that.

That said, started looking at axe-and-sword dual wield, just because the game's "mascot", so to speak, does so. Took one perk in the sword critical hit thing, then I abandoned dual-wield for axe-and-shield, with plenty of perks in block and two perks so far in bleeding damage for axes, because I figger a Nord should swing an axe. ;)

I went for two-handed axes. Then I trained one-handed maces and used two for dual-wield. Now my Orc is more of an archer who spends most of his time sneak-shooting, with his two-handed axe strapped to his back. He's now capable of using those weapons to the fullest of ability.
