Immersion holocaust

As for your complaint, I can't say I've experienced it myself. I am level 35, and not once have I been legitimately challenged by a Thalmor.

What's you're build, out of curiosity? Magic items and what not as well. And what difficulty are you playing on? For some reason, people who use difficulty over Adept (my setting) don't seem to have the all-mighty lightning spell of infinite destruction problem. Perhaps there is a bug or something with the way it's scaling damge on Adept or below?

Thanks to all for the compliments! Glad you enjoyed it.
It was great!

Of course the grim reality is still behind it, this game does need balance. Not only in the enemy encounters, but in other areas as well.

I hate those bloody necromancers who keep casting that huge frost spell that moves slowly in a direction. Lvl 100 destruction, all perks and it does barely anything, Then he casts it on me and im dead in two seconds...

Erm...sorry, dude. I guess you're right. Just have an irreverant sense of humor in the end. It wasn't meant as a direct reference to that...I'm just using the word's literal meaning.

Well. I don't want to swing the morality club here, but i'm just feeling uncomfortable with a word like this describing something trivial like a immersion lack in a video game.

Maybe its just me, so no offend. And yes i know what you ment...but...

Well said, Plebeian. This was one of the better posts I have read in quite some time.

The thing is, I can relate to your concern. Being able to kill dragons in epic battles, but having trouble with certain other characters in the game, lol.

I had a similar experience on Novice, believe it or not. I was doing Meridia's quest, and the bloody Necromancer kept casting that ****ing frost spell, so I couldn't really charge him that effectively, and it pretty much took out all my health AND stamina. Good thing J'derras is an alchemist who had like 50 minor health potions, 30 health potions, and 20 major health potions. I finally went **** it, and reloaded, sneaking up, taking out my most potent poison (about 40 damage), shooting him with my elven bow with elven arrows, only took out half of his health, and the f-er doesn't have any armor, so I pull out my best swords, charge off to the side, then focus on pummeling him first, ignoring the shadowy skeletons. Again, his frost spells completely drain my stamina in like two seconds, after I use power attacks. The f-er heals. I'm doomed. Reload. Repeat steps above, but this time taking fortify archery, one-handed, resist frost. Barely manage to beat him, on Novice.

Can't say the Thalmor have given me too much trouble so far, still playing on Expert level. The simplest thing to do when dealing with enemies that have powerful weapons/spells, is just conjure someone or something to lead before you, that simply takes their focus on to them, then you just side attack them.

At over L40 the basic dragons can seem easier by comparison yup,but then you also have the harder dragons. I went up against an ancient dragon yesterday and got completely roasted first couple times. You do go up against some tougher ones as you level up.
