I am currently playing a mage. The armor I have is the Morokei and Archmages robes. I dont have any skills in enchanting and it is about 25. Should I have heavy armor with enchants on them, or just the armor I have now (cloth) without disenchanting it.

Use cloth for mages

I prefer robes. But I still enchant 'em myself.

You will be grinding enchanting for a long time before you can make something better than Archmage robes. The only point using armor is if you want to use a melee weapon.
