It's getting bland. Any ideas?

So I made a female Imperial and used a Warhammer. I got all the typical things you would imagine, smithing, two handed, some enchanting, heavy armor. I made me and Farkas Daedric armor and weapons. Now everything dies pretty easily, one hitting practically everything, even bosses only take three maybe four. I love being a tank, don't get me wrong, but it does get a little bland, and I really don't have anything to put points into at this point with the skills mentioned above.

What should I do from here? Any skills I could start using? I don't want to make another character, I already have a sneaky assassin. I just want things to be a little more fun while playing.

What level are you playing at? Try Master to make it harder.

try making new characters with new playstyles and personal quests in mind (finding all dragonpriest masks or playing with out killing anything.)

I suggest sleeping the "bed" you have made :) I don't understand people who grind/powergame and then wonder why it is 'bland'

2-H Heavy Armor with Smithing and Enchanting is about the most boring character possible, since by definition you just hit things very hard and don't take damage. Turn up the difficulty to max, downgrade your equipment somewhat, and I think summoning zombies goes well with this build.

Go unarmed for a while. With the heavy armor perk and gloves of the pugilist enchant it is fun. Great finishers

You might be mad, but revjwh has a valid point, IMO.

My suggestion? Turn up the difficulty and maybe try "Maging" it or going Lt armour.

Play a character that only uses one or none of the tradeskills and don't grind anything. Let your skills develop from playing. The game difficulty (master, expert, adept) is all relative by how overpowered you character is. If you have an overpowered character with full resists and daedric armor at level 25, then the game is going to be a cakewalk on any setting. On the other hand, if you play a challenging build, then the game can be difficult on expert.

I recently did a warrior playthrough and accidently made him overpowered by getting the glowing mineral veins mod which allowed me to get 100 smithing way too early. Even without much enchanting, nothing was a challenge on master and it almost made me stop playing the game.

I took a few days off and created a thief character. I said I wasn't going to save except for auto saves (I thought about trying a dead is dead, but didn't). I decided I was going to live with whatever happened to my character. If a follower died, tough luck. If I got caught pickpocketing, I dealt with it. I used wagons, but otherwise no fast travel (this prevents accumulating too much gold so you aren't selling every item in every dungeon). I haven't perked into any trade skill, although I do plan to put 2 points in smithing. Another thing that I do is that I don't get full perks in the stealth tree because I feel like it makes the game too easy. I avoid silence, shadow warrior and only put 3/5 in stealth. I may put more later, but at level 34 it feels balanced. I switch back and forth beween master and expert and the game is challenging as hell. I don't have much resist, I think I get 50% tops so magic users are still a problem. The game is a lot more fun if you can abide by some self-imposed rules like these.

So you are saying that Pursuade, Intimidate, Bribing and better prices are useless? Sure It won't help you in combat if that's your point

Wake up one day in the wilderness with all of your possessions and money stolen (in other words drop them in a respawning chest to lose them for good).

And then try and survive, unarmed and unarmored in the wilds for a time, make it back to town, earn a bit of money to buy some basic equipment and try to rebuild yourself.

bar none the most interesting build i had was a conjuration/illusion mage with only archery and light armor and some sneak as the other skills, some basic restoration as well. I used my spells and also duel wielded a couple of stave. It was challenging but it was very fun to play. Completely different from my normal stealth or Orc warrior builds. Even though i miss spellmaking the actual magic is more fun to use in Skyrim than in previous games.

Since when and how?
Merchant - can sell any type of item to any kind of merchant.
Investor - can invest 500 gold with a shopkeeper to increase his available gold permanently
Fence - can barter stolen goods with any merchant you have invested in.

These are not useful?
