Hooded clothing

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:16 am

I'd like to know where I can find some. I'm interested in black, blue and monk robes with the hood attached.

I know that "Hooded Black Robes" and "Blue Mage's Robes" (has a hood) can be occasionally found on mages, but these are, in my experience, always enchanted (and poorly, at that). The only set of "Hooded Monk's Robes" I've ever found are on Heimskr, but I'm not fond of killing an innocent man to obtain them (or having him preach naked if I pickpocket him, for that matter).

I've never seen these things sold in Radiant Raiments, and i don't know of any other clothing store. I'm just really fond of good clothing that I can enchant for mages or just wear peacefully as a Khajiit monk.

And before anyone says anything, yes, I know that Master robes and the Archmage's robes are spectacular, but I would like something a little more personalized.

Thanks for the help, if you can provide any

You should be able to find some hooded black robes around that aren't enchanted. Not 100% sure about that, but pretty sure.

I've found blue and black sets with no enchantments. Not really the sort of thing that I keep track of the location of though.

Darn. Thanks, though.

I hope someone might have an idea, because the wikis aren't really helping.

Yeah, nobody's gonna remember the location of unenchanted clothing like that. Hell, I don't even remember where I find enchanted stuff. Just keep dungeon-diving, and you'll find something.

Go into random caves/ dungeons there are mobs with them, but if you don't mind getting arrested murder the monk preaching whiterun... or for the blueish mage robes go around riverwood and theres a hut with a old woman.

Heimskr's outfit will respawn if you take his shoes and other equipped clothing, too. Just leave and come back.

I have seen the Hooded Monk robes at Radiant Raiment. You can also do that Namira quest for Eola in Markarth and you can pick one up that way if you don't mind consorting with Daedra.

anyone else having a glitch where the ancient shrouded hood doesn't show up on your character? You get the affect, but the hood does not appear on your head.

That's what I did on accident. I was looking around for some cool robes to wear. I went to Markarth and did the mini-Daedric quest and got his Restoration Robes haha.

There's some Hooded Monk robes at a Talos shrine near where you exit the cave out of Helgen keep. Down the road from the bandit camp North of where you start, up on a little hill. Very close.

Woohoo! Thanks! :celebration:

You wouldn't happen to know where there are other kinds of robes, would you? I appreciate your precise detail.

Thanks for the tip. Sadly, that requires skill and perk investment, but if I happen to have a character with the necessary build and a desire for those robes yet, I'll keep that in mind.

You're welcome!

I'm not sure where the other two are, sorry. :[

EDIT: Oh, uhh... so, I wrote South, but it's down the road... so that'd be North I think. Sorry about that. xD

Er, what? Can you just re-specify, please? It's a bit confusing, now.

In my earlier post (#15), I wrote that upon exiting Helgen Keep's cave, you head South down the road when it's really North. Just a small mistake, I thought it'd lead to confusion is all. You probably got what I meant anyway. =X
