Depends on your computer.

As for controller you need a USB converter which is $5 from most places and all you do is plug and play.

I would play both. Ever since Morrowind, Ive played both games, including Fallout 3 on PC and console. Console for relaxing on the couch and PC for mods.

Agreed. If I can cheat and spoil the game than I'm inclined to do it, and as a result I would ruin my own experience. I already have a hard time ignoring fasttravel even though I know I end up regretting using it.

So for that reason it is (imo) best to start out with a console version. You won't get tempted to download mods that add weapons that unbalance the game, or tweaks to the current balance that end up not being better as they didn't go through enough playtesting.

So I first enjoy the vanilla game on X360 and afterwards (when a high-end PC that can play Skryim becomes affordable and I'm also in the need for a new PC) I get the PC version. Than I can just look up a list of 'must-have' mods that have been playtested by thousands of fans for thousands of hours and be sure that they don't ruin the game but enhance it.

Basically it allows me to play A TES game for 200+ hours... twice.

can i run it is a horrible site to go by. If you have a 8800 equivilant GPU and a CPU better then a 1.8 core 2 duo with 2GB+ RAM you will run Skyrim.

Its a port from 360, as much as I hate the platform.... I would suggest starting here.

If you have a PC that can pull the load, the mods are amazing though.

Coming from a devoted PS3 fan... boy.

Damnit that hurts my ego to type. :ermm:

There isn't even a CK yet and ALREADY I can't imagine playing this game w/o mods... That's both a huge kudos to the mod community, and a flaming condemnation of Bethesda for shoving out a half-assed PC port, cynically knowing that modders would swarm around their half-formed, incontinent posterior, and form a sort of virtual diaper in order to make them look good...

...Well, it IS pretty good... With mods. Without them, it's quite literally unplayable for me, because Bethesda has chosen to completely ingnore the concerns of left handed players (I HAVE to use a MOD in order to achieve keybinds that I've used in every First person game over the last 15 years, and this is DESPITE heavily repeated complaints, and multiple patchings of the PC version. Apparently, Bethesda has locked itself onto some totally [censored]tard codepath, and there's no digging out.)

I'd still say buy it for PC, because the only remedy for the wreckage that you'll ever see on the console side is what the PTB decide is on the "good" side of the profit/loss line.

pc for me but its a port game so theres not much difference other than you can add mods to beautify the game, though you can add mods by patching the game somehow on the 360,my mate who's an avid 360 ripper says the 360 community that he knows have already got quite a selection to choose from.sadly i don't know who he talks to or have any links as he is very tight about those things.

I prefer to play on xbox, but pc is infinetly better. You have the power of the almighty console as well as mods.
