Skyrim is THE BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED.

I'm a hardcoe fighting game fan, I love Modern Warfare, I love hack & slash, I'm 33 years old. I played D&D, grew up with TLOTRs as required reading, had an Atari, FF1 and Zelda. Skyrim is the game I've always wanted to play. Dispite it's flaws, this game is amazing.

On a more serious note: I like dolphins.

Even more serious; Skyrim for me is also one of the best RPG's in a looong time. A lot of the dumb mechanics from older TES games have been removed or improved. Having to level certain skills each level to gain +5 constitution comes to mind, all because the developers didn't make it retroactive (so dumb). I could not play Oblivion without any modifications. Skyrim on the other hand is very good vanilla and will only get 10 times better (with mods on the PC)

Skyrim isn't the best game out there. Hardely is. If Skyrim had much more Radiant AI and LORE the game would be much more better.

I havent fast travelled once on my level 52 mage, and I only finished the Mages college, that is how much fast traveling robs from the experience.....If I fast traveled everywhere, Id still be a level 20.

Fast travel with my Thief chaarcter isn't good. Specialy because the enimeis will always spot you. Also dragons are a big problem to my kind of build. Lucky i got some good necknacles.

Haha agreed. Skyrin vanillas is every interesting and have alot content. Mods will just enhanced what is already good.

Oblivion was a game that needed mods to be enjoyable.

Actually I fast travel constantly. I may be missing out on some things, but it doesn't do what people claim it does, at least not to me. I have had about 5 characters so far and hundreds of hours played. I make up for fast traveling by being picky with my characters and starting over if I mess up little things like lose 17,000 gold on accident (lol long story). Also I roleplay a lot. So even if I did every quest in the game with one character I would start over and roleplay something different. I've tried not fast traveling, but I get bored to quickly. I always have an urge to finish what I'm doing as fast as possible so I may reap the rewards. But when I'm forced to travel from one place to another I do normally realize what people are talking about.

Stop fast travelling.

Fast traveling is one way to get town dragon attacks which rock. Really cool to see dragon perched on someone's house. But yea I stopped using fast travel unless I'm trying to get a dragon to attack.

To the op I'm also a older gamer and agree.

Yeah, although in retrospect I might also feel like that about Morrowind now, yet when it came out I absolutely loved it.
Perspectives and expectations change over the years, becoming more spoiled with better graphics and game mechanics for example. Either that or my "perfection OCD" has grown over the years...

Skyrim is the game with the most memes EVER. Even Pokémon's memes are diluted into several games + the anime series.
Beat that!

Somehow I rather doubt that is the point :bonk:

skyrim's a good game that had a chance to be, for me, the best game ever.

great graphical gameworld with leveling what you use in-game and perks.

however, they made too many errors and omissions.

huge difference between rpg/character vs. action/player - based gaming.

roleplaying with one's mind and in-game rpg gaming are very different elements.

Is Diablo 3 is a single-player exclusive with a pvp or a MMO like Wow?
