I'm looking for these enchantments

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 2:57 pm

I play an archer who uses light armor. I don't use sneak very much, only to get the initial sneak attack bonus.

I'm looking for items with the following enchantments which can be disenchanted and where to find them, please:

1. Fortify Archery: The big one, I'll wear this on three or more pieces. I love damaging bows.
2. Fortify Light Armor: Since I don't sneak much I do get hit, and I gotta protect my money maker ;)
3. Muffle: As I said, I don't sneak very much. However the sneak attack bonus is good enough to put muffle on a pair of boots.

Check the blacksmiths and general shops. I always see the 1st 2 for sale. Muffles a little rarer.

Try the thieves guild questline for at least 2 out of the 3.

DB has boots that muffle. The first two I find regularly at shops or in random loot.

Seems strange to me, No offense there. The first 2 I have seen constantly since Level 1. Muffle on the other hand is a pain in the butt to find. I am looking for it myself at the moment. Paralyze and waterbreathing are 2 more big pains to find also. I actually finally found waterbgreathing for a cheap 600 gold helm on a merchant somehwere. The problem is random item generation. You may luck out and right something you want right off or it may take 30 levels to find it.

theres a ring in the general shop in Whiterun that increases bow damage. Im not sure if its a random piece of equipment or what. You can always get potions that increase bow damage by 20 percent. I dont think there is one for light armor

If you see waterbreathing, muffle or paralyse, buy them immediately. Sell all your good stuff to get them. I missed out on a paralyse weapon, thought I would get it later, forgot, had to wait 10 or 12 levels before I found another. Also minor
Spoiler
I found a dwarven helm of waterbreathing. Straight away, a courier came up to me with a note, would I sell it to Calcelmo?

Generally speaking, stuff that people can tell you the exact location will be unique items that can't be disenchanted. You should just do a round of all the shops each time you are in town. You may see gauntlets of archery around, but I think the first two will be more common at the general goods shops on jewelry, and at Radiant Raiment in Solitude, which is one of the best shops for such items. Boots of Muffling will turn up at a smith sometime.

I have been looking for a glass bow of annihilating for ages.
