What is your character build and why is it fun?

My current character is a breton prospector. She's first level, fights with her mining pick, and uses a hide shield. She wears tattered boots and tattered trousers.

I reduced her stamina and health to 80 and added the 40 points to her magicka.

When she finds herself in a fix she uses her muffle and her calm spells to get away since she'd die if she actually had to fight anything stronger than a wolf.

So far she has done absolutely no quests fought no dragons and knows no shouts. She has 80,000 coins though.

She lives in the hags shack near riverwood. That nice travelling bard killed her for me.

The that is most fun at moment is a strictly ruled role playing berserk a Orc
Full story line going on in background (am totattally going to either a novella or graphic novel with screens)
Play style is 2H, light armour, smithing( only what he needs and what he finds to improve for sale, no bins full of daggers, mind you still got smithing to 50 by lvl 10)
No interest in MQ or quests of any kind really just trying to carve a home out of this messed up racist back water.
Started in Falkreath and cleaned out dungeons and bandits whilst honing craft, kept heading west and north , started hitting foresworn and that became a real challenge, which was great to go back and work towards building smithing up and 2H to cope
Character rarely buys items more about selling, some crafting equipment but if need leather fo out and hunt similarly need ore for armour upgrades go find mines
Have carts near forges piled high with stuff waiting to buy first house.
In battle it is careful casing mixed with barging in berserk style, as I do do some fast travel and use inns alot the 24hr thing is not to bad but there needs to be some modding on berserk that gives similar stuff to werewolf and kills keeping it going and increasing in power, maybe with negatives at the end,
Love getting finishing moves

Just moved story along where he is so fed up with birds taking legions side

I enjoy seeing other people's play styles, quite interesting.

What I meant about the "stereotypical ranger" was protecting the wilderness, not harming wildlife unless need be, etc.

well now, i like all my characters.
i've build
- a dark elf assasin female and invested perks in fire magic. mastered everything she could
- double wielding axes on a male orc fighter limited to lvl 31 (only 30perks) - master smithing, and advanced enchanter
- 2hd weapons nord male with light armor to make him light on his feet. thoase damn weapons are pretty hard and need momentum, but hell he enjoys slashing and bashing with heavy weapons. i'll limit him as well to lvl 31. advaced smithing and advanced enchanter

this limitation is due to wanting a limited amount of perks to be invested in that character

I'm not going to explain it so ill link the thread instead: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1312052-master-playthrough-40-hp-vampire-assassin/page__fromsearch__1

only difference for me is Archery/Sneak/Illusion and pickpocket i sneak up and place poisions in peoples pockets disarm them and then and only then i start firing arrows home.

funny when they run at you with bare fisted hands.

Lately I have been going with a strict role-play 2H nord on master difficulty. Like previous guys I do only quests that would be relevant to a a warrior-merc.

I joined the legion, because since when has the empire NOT been synonymous with Nordic traditions? The empire itself was founded by the truest of nords.

So far it works, and it has been a lot of fun.

He's a rogue with a good swordarm and reasonable shooting skills. But it's not the textbook rogue stats that make him who he is - nothing so warcraft for me. It's the way I play him. He hasn't gotten into the main quest or progressed in any faction. He loves adventure but shuns the title of adventurer. He quit the Companions when they made an offer he apparently can refuse. Won't take sides in the civil war. Stood by and watched a riot after a jailbreak and didn't take sides then either. Won't take quests that don't profit him or needlessly hurt others; won't get involved in silly squabbles. Will look after his friends with gifts of trinkets and gear. Will save his own skin at all costs. Loves his horse and his dog. Not the marrying kind. Well traveled but looking for a home. A lot like me really. It's awesome playing Skyrim like I've played me on four continents.

I've always enjoyed placing some of my favorite characters from interesting series into the Elder Scrolls "playgrounds."

To date, in Skyrim.

Garet Jax (Breton)
Major Skill Focus:
One-Handed (all types, nothing in off hand)
Light Armor
Archery
Block (no shield perks, naturally)
Sneak

Disposition: Generally lawful... Will not steal or murder. Always willing to help what he perceives as "an underdog." Takes no sides in the Civil War.

Sandor Clegane (Imperial)
Major Skill Focus
Two-Handed
Heavy Armor
Smithing
Block (non-shield perks)

Disposition: Generally selfish and opportunistic. Circumstances led to his "dismissal" from Imperial army and joined Stormcloak rebellion purely for spite.

Nice names. Season two out in a couple of months. Starting another read and watch-thru to get warmed up.

BTW, have you read Bernard Cornwell's Saxon series? Put George RR Martin to shame if only because they're 'historical fiction' rather than fantasy...

Breton Spellsword with Lord sign. 50% resistant to all magic wears heavy armor that fortifies magicka, stamina, health, and magicka regen. Main weapon is Destruction spells, secondary skill is Restoration. It can also use melee weapons when I run out of magic. Also I am a werewolf so I am 100% resistant to disease. I rarely take damage from dragon's and mages. Well I should be stronger than dragons, remember the trailer? Esbern: There is one they(dragons) fear... Dragonborn!!.

This is my first Elder Scrolls game and I've only made one character. His name is Teran Martor and he is a male Khajit. He specializes in stealth with his Ebony bow. He wears a mix of heavy armor and light, so he can protect himself while staying quiet. He's not that much of a mage, but he'll use it if he has to. Not as much, though, but he also specializes in an Ebony sword and shield. He is the leader of the Companions and Dark Brotherhood, and is a Nightingale. He is also the thane of Whiterun.

Ok, i'm going to restart my Redguard (as a result of a dodgy download i had to completely format my hard drive).

Name: Amara
Race: Redguard
Skills: One-Handed (11), Block(11), Archery(15), Sneak(7), Light Armour(10), Smithing(7)(Heavy), Enchanting(8)

She is a Hunter build and she has one goal in mind, making the legendary Dragon Armour.
What makes her so fun is the back story i've made for her, it makes her more believable as a character. It also means she has more of a reason for making the choices she makes in game. It also means she can make "bad" choices which she has to come to terms with. I may make a topic on this build, including her back story for everyone to criticise.
