[Positive Feedback] Your FAVORITE things about Skyrim!

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 6:58 am

I have become completely immersed in this game. I like the way the archery works. I love the graphics, from jumping salmon in the rapids to the Northern Lights in the night sky. I love going hunting and actually being able to use the pelts to make something useful. There are improvements that I think could be made and lines of thought that Bethesda could have followed further, but I won't post those in this thread. Suffice it to say that this is the most enjoyable game I have played to date, and I'll be 50 next week.

Dual - Wielding, probably my single favorite thing about Skyrim.

Close second would be the way mountains look from a distance. Shrouded in clouds, greyed out... Aurora Borealis twisting through the sky...giant red moons...

God, this game looks so awesome.

I love the way the dragons look and interact with the world.

I love how the Dwemer ruins look streampunkish.

I love the Northren Lights.

I love how the bandits talk and sing to themselves as you sneak around.

I love that you can cook and smith.

I love how settlements have working mills, farms and mines.

And lots more...I might be back to add some more.

Theres not a single thing about Skyrim that I dislike, except that it took anyone this long to make a game as amazing as skyrim.

I still don`t believe it. You`re just making yourself love every bit, but if you really looked, there`s something you don`t like.

I'm enjoying this game tremendously, even though my age has destrouted my hand-eye coordination, and my speed is about as fast as molasses on a cold day. Thank you so much, Bethesda, for giving me the Novice Mode!

I like the fact that the game can still surprise me after 200 hours.

This, but after nearly 350 hours

and smithing

The distant multi LOD implementation over Oblivion's LOD. Most likely Papyrus after the CK is out. Possibly Havok Behavior, at least if we modders can get all features working for our custom animations.

Best thing about the game is that I'm done with it....thank god.

MY only hope for this game is if the DLC really Improves it, but I don't think it will.

This game is like a drug. Quitting just ain't happening.

Glitches aside (PS3 player here)...

I love the fact I can get totally distracted doing absolutely nothing sometimes. I'll sit down to play with a mission in mind, after an hour I'll not have left town....

I enjoy wandering the world, doing the whole self guided tour guide thing is a lot of fun. There's a lot of nooks and corners to be discovered which have goodies.

I do like my 2 characters thankfully. I didn't at first, but now they've grown on me. Both have given me a lot of good visual D&D moments we usually joke about when table top gaming. Only dislike here was in creation. Wish there was some adjustments you could make to age so the guys all don't look like they're 45+ years of age (the women look okay. They look mature, but not 'old'). Also wish the clothing you wear was cleaner, or had more options of cleaner gear. Some of those robes are nasty stained.

Love sneaking into an encounter with people who hear me sneaking, start searching, and push me aside full force, without seeing me of course.

NPC: Runs over and shoves me out of the way in search mode. 'I thought I heard something!'
PC in sneak mode: 'Uh, chirp, chirp, nothing but us crickets.'
NPC: 'Hmph, must have been my imagination.'
PC: 'Chirp.....chirp...chirp'
NPC: Walks off.
PC: 'That...actually...worked? What a moron!' BACKSTAB.

1. I like the way skeletons can sit on thrones and come to life. That always looks creepy.
2. I like the way undead have to step out of coffins. that`s creepy too.
3. I`m beginning to see more of this `radiant` random missions thing and slowly appreciating how it adds diversity to some quests.
4. I like the way the war between the Stormcloaks and the imperials actually affects places and forts you visit.
5. Love the multiple random mini quests and people you bump into while trekking on foot overland. there`s always something new.
6. Bandits always seem to have something new to talk about in dungeons if you sneak and listen.
7. I like how the world is still active while talking to someone. We were attacked by a Dragon while I was talking to a guard!
8. I like the lockpicking, feels real, though it should reflect character skill, not player skill.
9. I like the bear. It just feels realistic, especially its roar.
10. dragons are well done in my view, but need to be 25-50% tougher.
11. Weather effects are great. Blizzards remind me of the blight of Morrowind.
12. I like how Followers say different things when in or near interesting places.
13. Rivers and waterfalls are close to very realistic. I enjoy swimming down them! really, i do.

That`ll do for now.

I approve of this list. Plus, so many more things already said. I'm over 120 hours in the game and still have the same feeling as I did when I first got it. I love Skyrim.

Whoa, way too many things I like about it to list here, but a few include:

Stunning gameworld, and very diverse and original feeling dungeons. level designers and worldspace designers take the cake with this game. The weather effects are awesome. It really feels like a blizzard to me when it starts to storm up north. The special fx are awesome. Archery is well done with the exception of the range limit. Overall, I like the stories that play out in the game. Barbas was frigging AWESOME!

When they first started this forum and began talking about dragons being the central plot in the main quest, I was less than enthusiastic. I just felt it was cliche and was pretty much :yuck: and

But what the heck, I knew I was still buying it anyway, lol. But I still went into the game totally expecting NOT to like the dragon stuff. Boy, was I wrong! They are so well done in terms of their flight animations, hovering, landing, and even when they crash I was totally in awe of how well they did them. I know people complain they're not powerful enough and I tend to agree. (A sabre cat shouldn't be able to kill a dragon at any level.) But I'm sure the modding community will come up with some very good re-balancing mods, so I can live with it for now. So aside from the gameworld, the dragons are one of my favorite things. (Especially the one who lives way, way up in the mountains!)

I love most things about the game. just wandering about in general for me. Enjoying all the different weather effects and ambient sounds. And just the other day I got attacked by a skeleton while walling along a hill side. When I killed it all it's bones rolled down the hill bouncing off rocks and trees on the way down. It's these small things that make you just watch the way the game mechanics work that adds to the games experience.

Awesome game. Blows Oblivion out of the water, and I fracking loved that game!

It could use some improvements etc. But, it is a solid A+ game for me!
