Just found out sneak bugs out once it hits 100 and restarts you over at 0 because of the + sneaking % perks. So does that mean I need items to bring me back up to 100, or will more sneak items just make me easier to detect?

I thought the only way to pass the cap was to have everything mega-enchanted?

I don't have any sneaking equipment besides nightingale boots, and I get detected at night now from afar, it's rage inducing that my character is just broken now

Perhaps a change of sig. is in order?

I'm still deep down, at least my life isn't in danger irl, and I can walk

Once its broken and you save... well hate to say it... but you're stuck.

A combination of shrouded hood and a ring of eminent sneaking (total +55% or 95% with the 40% from perks) seems to make thing's closer to normal again. Sneaking system is so weird I hope bethesda patches it slightly to fix certain bugs

This also seems to happen with smithing, of which I have personally witnessed.

I seem to remember someone saying something about 256 being close to the cap from some old thread, but I could be wrong.
