What the hell is going on I have now seen 5 Louis Letrush there is 4 of him outside the stables in Whiterun and the fith was killed on the road by a hired thug

Just an annoying bug, stay away from that quest on your next character.

If your on pc you can disable them using the console.

I had one stuck chest deep in the ground with another standing next to him.

I have no idea, I play on xbox ha. I'm sure some PC player will tell you, or google it.

Open console -> mouse click on what you want to delete (the ID of the ref should appear on the top of the console window) -> type: disable -> hit the enter button -> exit console

(The markfordelete command will also work but you'll have to exit and re-enter the world space cell(s) the object is in.)
